In 4v au all smurfs are hermaphrodites, and "sex" (or better to call it gender then) is cultural feature. But after centuries of separated life, they got different mutations, not mentioning how different activities, diet and even fashion change the look.

Genetically: most girls don't grow face hair (even if a smurf does, she shaves). Near sight and purple hair are also seen with girls. Nose size, ears, tails are the same for boys and girls.

Physical activities: boys are stocky with better fine motor skills, due to they are cut out for enduring labour and (more or less) neat product. The only enduring activity of girls is walking/running or swimming (depends on the enviroment), any other time it's a quick high-effective energy loss (<15 mins) and long period of the rest (aka tiger that kill his victim in 3 mins and then lying unmoving for a weak), their training are focused on technics and supporting muscular tone, so they seem taller and has smaller thighs and hands.

Diet: Boys prefer high-calloried food, so, they are fatter. It isn't so noticable with Dessert smurfs, 'cause they often survive through hunger periods, but when there's food, they over-eat, storing callories in the body.

Moving with a full stomach isn't much comfortable, so, girls prefer light, easy-digesting food or can prolong a lunch by dividing it on a small pieces. It makes them a bit 👌🏻 thinner (eating light, but more often).

Fashion: if male fashion are harmonic, without bright accents, but with light accents on the neck, female clothes emphasize the waist and knees. But it is the least obvious, because look at what Paradisé (boys) smurfs were wearing

So, "smurfs that falls out of binary system" should be seen as "non-established migrants". Good examples: Nanny and Smurfette. First 2 live in "boys" village but their pronouns are she/her abd they wear dresses/long tunic. It is similar to muslims in european countries: at first, you'd be under high light, then, locals get used to you. Though, smurfs can be rude to migrants (for us, modern people, ofc), chaffing for "not immidately changing their lifestyle in new home", and support if you try to fit, but they don't make a big deal of pronouns because it is not about "what you've got in pants". But, sure, if it was, at least, as "boys dicks are bigger", they would make stupid and offensive jokes, and make a cuckoonsign if a Smurf wore other gender's clothes all seriously. Smurfs TRY to be good, but they are not angels ;)

She's 220, lives in Smurfy Grove (Floral village). Stormy is one of opposition in Smurfy Grove, a candidate for a leader position after Willow. And she has a power of lighting and, well, storm. Or better to say, had. When her whole village was indanger, she had to murder malevolent human aborigens, exiling others downstream the Amazon in fear. The problem is smurfs can kill without consequences only 1) evil allies (devils, black magicians); 2) to survive (food). So, she got a black strand for murder. Of course, there's no way to redeem this sin, and until the end of the life she lacks of her magic.

She was reflexing her crime, searching in her mind, if there was a peaceful way to solve a problem. After all, she taught a lesson from it, became less impulsive. She wasn't into politics anymore, proving that she is safe and still helpful to smurfs was enough, but, surprisely, her introspection made her wiser in others' eyes, her fans didn't turn off from her, so, Stormy's still riding high. Especially, when Willow needs a general for a big battle.

She has same body type as Hefty. Moreover, she and elder twins (Hefty, Handy) are far relatives. Far enough to not be considered as incest if you ship any of them, after all, you don't remember your previous lives, right? But in the life when she used to wear name Thunder, she was a sibling with Hefty (Smurf Stone back then), and Handy (Flint) used to be her child. Thunder and Stone had belong to the 1st generation of Hexes.

And, tho, she wasn't alive during War III with devils, she took a main part in War I&II. A warrior is always a warrior (c) Cosmurfcius

Interpretation Hefty

Dunno i've always seen him as the strong one with a tough look, but with a soft heart. always ready to fight for and protect the ones he loves and cares about. Even when some can get on his nerves. He’s also someone to easily get manipulated when it boosts his own ego, but doesn’t easily trust Someone when he thinks/knows something fishy is going on. Speaking of his ego, i think he’s someone to set in asside to put others their wellbeing before his. Oh and, He has anger issues but he's he's trying to work on them. i dunno What else to add here there’s probably a lot more things i could say but this is What i could say so far.

Interpretation Storm: Same as Hefty: stong one, tough look, but with a soft heart. Also always ready to fight and protect the ones she loves. She however is someone to not get manipulated easily and doesn’t trust easily. Often determent to get to the bottom of things to figure out if someone is trustworthy or not. She strikes me as someone who Lets herself be vunrable around the ones she trusts and is closest too. She also strikes me as the someone who likes going on adventures and explore.

Same as with hefty, I dunno What else to add here there’s probably a lot more things i could say but this is What i could say so far.

I could probably talk about my interpretation with them together but one: rn i’m on vacation in france and it’s HOTTTTTT. So i’m sertain i probably couldn’t think of a lot /couldn’t put a lot of things into words because of how warm is is. Like right now qvq

Hcs:

- "Betrayal of Smurfblossom" was the start of stormy's crush on hefty. And while not very noticeable i hc that Hefty started to get some more feelings for her as well. But they're both in denial lol (Love me a slowburn lol)

- She fell first, he fell harder

- I like to think Hefty started hanging around the girls more/storm more partially because, for years he might've felt a bit alone in the 'warrior'/'protector' of the village thingie.

- Storm, while still winning most of their fights, learned to be able to handle losing better thanks to having a friendly rivalry with Hefty (and cause they're sparring partners) and not always winning the contests and little fights she has with him.

-Hefty, thanks to a lot of things that happened, became softer and more open with his feelings. Learned to try and hurt others less/use others as his punching bag less. And even took tips and tricks to calm himself from others (especially from the older smurfs like papa, willow, grandpa, etc...)

And don't mind me stealing borrowing your hc about that little garden cause I LOVE it still XD

- Stormy often revisits the old, burned down Grove when she visits spitfire. Mostly for nostalgia and because she still misses her old home sometimes. She likes Exploring it and seeing what changed over time. Sometimes she takes someone (most of the time one of the girls) along with her.

- Eversince "challenges for Hefty" He and Stormy sorta started to share ( often rather exaggerated) stories of their adventures with each other.

- I think mentioned it b4 but I still like to think Hefty officially became part of the Grove (and so became the first ever boysmurf in the grove) post challenges for hefty, (Thanks Stormy for being the one to suggest this in the first place XD)which sorta also started his regular visits in the Grove.

- Hefty still is bad at archery but got better thanks to Stormy personally taking it upon herself to train him

- Storm keeps little souvenirs from adventures and moments she found important and achievements in her life to remember those moments. She does keep it hidden from the rest.

- Hefty is still a proud hiker and runner (basically just proud to just go by foot) and has never driven a car and never will (I don't take those racecar episodes as canon dbbddjdjj)

- Storm is ambidextrous :3

- Both have the urge to face their fears just to make sure the other is safe and sound.

- Both also have the urge to be the one to protect the other, but that quickly turned into the Both of them protecting each other.

-Hefty had a fear of not being needed.

-Storm fears losing the ones she loves

- Storm took Hefty on a flight on spitfire once, went a little too high in the air and discovered that way that Hefty had a fear of heights, and hasn't stopped teasing him about it when she has the chance eversince

-Storm likes to tease/annoy hefty in a lot more different ways. And loves his reactions.

-Storm had multiple different kinds of bows and the one we see her use the most is her favorite. (She lost most, if not al in the fire and spend multiple days remaking most of them, with the help of Handy)

- one thing I'm gonna add from our convos: hefty follows stormy around and Stormy doesn't mind it/kinda finds it amusing.

-whenever Storm is angry, stressed or emotional, she gets a little uneasy when someone touches her (especially on the shoulders or arms). Even when she knows it’s meant to comfort her. She either slaps is away or lets them do in for a few seconds before shaking them off.
