"The three of us will always be one."

“… are you okay?” He asked softly, watching the girl that he had walk past.

She hadn't caught sight of the man until she heard his voice, looking up to see the blonde standing before her. It was interesting; she had not expected someone to approach her as she stood on the sidelines of the prom event.

Another thing that had caught her off guard was that there were actually people who hadn't gone. Sure, it was logic that she wouldn't be the only person not attending, but it had passed her mind. 

She nodded slightly. "I'm fine."

For such a flirtatious man, Zidane himself didn’t even have a date. The irony in that could have brought even him down into the dumps, but luckily, he refused to think about it.  He was an optimist, and optimists had to ignore the obvious, even if it were right in his face.  If he wanted a date, he could easily get one.

Right?

That’s what excuse he used, anyway. He went to the Prom for the sake of seeing how it turned out, and luckily, it was pretty good! Everyone had their dates — as awkward as it was seeing certain men in dresses and what not — and was enjoying their time together, but a few stragglers hung out around the crowds. One in particular caught his attention; another one of those similar-dressed people that reminded him of Sora and the like.

“Yo! A girl like you should be out there dancing. Why’re ya slumpin’ around out here?”

She blinked in surprise and turned toward the sudden voice that had appeared near her. In a moderate, but slightly hesitant tone, she replied:

"I... did not feel it was necessary for me to take part in the festivities."

In front of her was a man; blonde-haired, blue-eyed. He seemed like one of those happy types of people, the ones who kept the circus alive and well in terms of action and atmosphere in the first place. She could tell right off from his tone and the way he spoke.

She added a small smile, and stood up a bit straighter, hoping not to give off a shy vibe.

“You’re not participating as well…?” Zelda inquires quietly as she makes her way up to the blue haired girl. She knew the feeling all too well. Looking from the girl back to the large gatherings of people, the princess smiled softly and then turned back to face Aqua. “It’s nice isn’t it…everyone seems so happy.” 

Her head turned toward the direction of the princess as she heard the soft voice carrying through the night. She nods, with the addition of a verbal answer.

"Yes. I couldn't find a valid reason to... So I decided to remain separated from the majority. I see you have as well..?"

She couldn't agree more. All of the festivities had affected her emotionally, making her feel warm inside that everyone was actually enjoying themselves for once, especially since they were in a place like this.

When Zelda turned to the crowd, Aqua did as well. A moment later, she also faced the woman once again, with a soft reply. 

“—Wait, what-!?” Sora blinked in shock as he came to realize what Aqua had told him.

“Why would your friend be in the Realm of Darkness?— Why would you— you saved him..? You got stuck? Attacked by Heartless-?!” The boy paused, his bright blue eyes widening as he slowly continued to understand. This woman was from his world! Now hang on a second here- what did she say saved her…?

“… KEYBLADES?”

“Your friends… your friends are Keyblade Wielders-!?”

To think, there were even more out there! How could they not have met if they came from the same world and shared a common destiny? After all, not just anyone could wield a Keyblade!

And the idea to get ice cream was soon forgotten.

She was slightly amused by the boy's reaction, but her expression didn't let that through. After all, he seemed p r e t t y surprised that her friends were Keyblade Wielders.

Well, time for some more background information to be told.

With a calm expression, she nods. "My friends are Keyblade Wielders, and so am I. I'm... I'm a Keyblade Master, to be honest."

“Oh, good, I’d have been so upset if you forgot.” 

[ Actually, her forgetting might have done wonders on his part- not that she ever would, but so long as she had the recollection of how much of a threat he was to Ventus, she wouldn’t leave him alone. Just let him wreck some chaos, make a x-blade, do whatever shit he wanted without getting in his way.

But who knows; maybe he’ll come to enjoy trying to break her heart repeatedly. 

The fact that her blush was fading meant only that he would have no basis on which to keep teasing her the way he was previously. Well, that was /fine/, he had other methods. He took a step back and turned around, placing his hand up as if to say he was leaving all in one smooth motion. ]

“It’ll probably scare you.”

[ Mocking her, not caring. ]

She fought the urge to roll her eyes, the irritated huff she let out giving away what she was going to do. She was not willing to just leave Vanitas alone as is, due to her knowledge of what he had tried to do before. She was afraid that it would happen again, and this was part of the fuel to her motivation for staying strong, and fighting back; the other half being protecting those who were at risk here.

A bit repetitive, but it was the only thought that came to mind as she steadied her gaze, watching him as he turned the other way.

Fists clenched, eyes burning holes in the back of the male's head. She was about to take a step toward him, until she paused, and thought better of it. 

"I'm surprised you actually care whether it does or not. Your behavior's improving, I must say."
