Angst Impending...

I'm so excited for Lilith to finally be introduced next season, but I'm also so scared she's going to end up as another 'you couldn't even handle her!' situation. With the way people treated Charlie simply for struggling to get over years of neglect (or at the very least, absence) from her father, I'm terrified that no matter what Lilith's reason for leaving Lucifer may have been, the fandom won't even take it into account. (I'm not saying Lilith hasn't done anything wrong, especially when it comes to charlie. I'm talking SPECIFICALLY about her and Lucifer's relationship here)

i don't really want to weight in on the "using big words in your writing is ableist" discourse happening on tiktok because i'm like 90% certain it's an anti-intellectual psyop to stir up drama in online circles to promote the use of ai to summarize literally everything and thus feeding the LLMs and lowering the populace's mistrust of such tools but i also have to say: dictionaries and thesauruses are the most accessible they've ever been. if you use an e-reader of any kind you can look up a word without leaving the page. there's a plethora of online dictionaries and if you just type a word + "meaning" into google it'll usually give you a definition. we used to have pocket dictionaries we used when reading in class. i have two on my shelf right now that i used in high school. stop letting the fascists purposefully misuse anti-ableism rhetoric to trick you into never thinking again.

It deeply saddens me that "pdf file" has become slang for pedo. Don't you dare disrespect my wife the beautiful portable document format ever again

and to the children in the notes saying we need this fucking baby talk to get around censorship online; there's been no credible evidence that any site other that YouTube (which will only demonetize your video, ftr) will actually censor or hide content that include words like rape, pedophile, gun, terrorist, etc. etc. and even if we take as a given they were (which, again, they are not), do not fucking comply in advance, you absolute fucking coward. and ESPECIALLY do not comply by altering your real life fucking vocabulary. don't let the technocrats dictate what words you say holy fucking shit dude!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thinking about Charlie as a potential exploration on how defining yourself as a "good person" can impair your ability to actually genuinely reflect, change and grow. That and I just really love how she is both optimistic and prideful.

It's been months, and I'm still not over the fact that Husk was the first sinner to step forward and offer his help during Hear My Hope. Like, practically, I understand that it was to introduce his bass vocals into the song sooner, but in universe, there's just something so tasty about a self-proclaimed dead inside cynic who claimed to have lost the ability to love a long time ago when we first met him be the first to sing about keeping hope alive in order to protect the ones he loves.
