Greetings, all! My name is Pyro, and I have been chosen by the goddess Athena as her champion! I'm not entirely sure of what to say here, besides it'd be nice to chat with my fellow champions. Although, I'd rather not fight... I'd rather make allies instead of enemies.

“Pyro.”
Apokuna gives him a small smile, her feathers shifting softly behind her.
“I've been… managing. As for Morpheus being generous…”
She glances down at herself, then back at him.
“I suppose he has been. He's given me wings, and these strange abilities…”
She pauses.
“And enough feathers to leave a trail wherever I go.”
Her expression turns faintly exasperated.
“So yes. Generous is certainly one word for it.”
“But I won't complain too much. His gifts have already proven useful.”
She studies Pyro for a moment.
“What about you? Has Athena treated you well?”
She then gestures to herself, before continuing.
“I imagine she's given you something more practical than an alarming amount of feathers.”
Pyro chuckled, shaking his head in slight amusement. "Nope. No feathers for me. Besides the one you entrusted me with, of course." They glanced at the feathers that covered Apo. They were nice sure, but they also looked annoying to maintain.
"And yes, my goddess has been very kind to me so far. I'm eternally grateful for the gifts she's given me." They gestured to his shield, and the owl perched on his shoulder. "The abilities are a bit overwhelming, though. Useful, but certainly an adjustment."
“Ah. So you kept it.”
Apokuna glances toward the feather, a small smile appearing on her face.
“I suppose I'm glad it has a good home.”
“And yes… I understand what you mean. Useful doesn't necessarily mean easy.”
She looks down at her own feathers, smoothing one absently.
“I've been trying to learn what mine can do without accidentally causing a disaster.”
Her gaze shifts toward the owl perched on his shoulder.
“Though I admit, I think your goddess has given you some rather lovely gifts.”
She pauses, studying the owl for a moment.
“…Does he have a name? Or is he simply there to make you look more mysterious?”
Pyro nodded, also glancing at the feather momentarily before meeting Apos gaze again. "Of course I kept it! I wouldn't dare discared a gift."
At the mention of the owl having a name, they laughed awkwardly, suddenly embarrassed for not having thought of one sooner. "No, actually. Not yet atleast. I... I guess I've been so caught up with everything else I haven't had the time."
"I do agree, Athena has given me wonderful gifts. I don't know what I'd do without them, honestly." He continued.
*A woman is standing in the middle of the river, water to her waist. She's manipulating the water*

Pyro was walking along the bank as he spotted the woman in the river, and they paused to watch for a moment. He really wasn't going to get used to seeing others powers, was he... It was a magical sight, like something out of a story. But he couldn't pinpoint who this person was. She didn't appear familiar to them whatsoever.
"Hello?" He called out, almost hesitantly. They stepped closer to the water, careful not to get drenched in the process. "Who might you be?"
"Hello!" *She turns to him* "I'm Kymia! You?"
"Kymia?" Pyro repeated, eyes narrowed slightly as he assessed the woman, who he now knew as Kymia. "Apologies. I'm Pyro, Athenas' champion."
They held their hand out for a handshake, better to make more friends than enemies. "Hope you don't mind me asking but who are you the champion of? I haven't seen you around before."
"Pyro, right? One of the featherholders?"

"That's me, yes! Pleasure to meet you..." He trailed off, racking his brain to remember the others name. "Owen, correct? Champion of Chronos? I don't believe we've properly introduced ourselves to eachother yet."
"indeed, but i suppose a friend of Apo will be a friend of min"
"More friends are always nice, I suppose." They said thoughtfully. "Anyway, how are you doing?"
Drift, hello!! I don't believe we've had a proper conversation since we made it out of the cave with Cleo. How've you been?

"Ah, I've been alright. As fine as I can be, really." He smiled, shifting his weight from one foot to another out of habit. "I've mostly been trying to get used to living again. Trying to make allies, too. Having some can always be useful, after all."

He smiled, clasping his hands together.
"How are you, my friend! How have you been faring!"
"I- well, there's the whole death tournament thing? Does that not dampen your joy at all?" Pyro asked. The thought was one that weighed heavy on him. He was thankful to be alive, of course. But the idea of fighting other champions didn't amuse him whatsoever.
"I've been doing alright. Grateful for the blessings Athena has bestowed upon me." They gestured to his armour. "But I'm thankful to be here. Alive."

Pyroooo, hello dear!! I'm doing great, lots of messages from fans today. But I'm much better now I'm talking to you as well. How are you doing?
"You flatter me Scott, really." He chuckled. "I'm alright, thank you. Still adjusting to—" They gestured around vaguely with his hands "—all this. This new life the Gods have granted us."
"I definitely understand it. It's a bit jarring when suddenly the wind blows and I can hear voices in it. Not to mention everything else, being in a competition like this. But hey, it's not all scary." Scott said, smiling as he lifted the ends of his chiton to show it off. "My god gave me a new outfit just for the event. Don't I look amazing? Now I match the rest of you." He said with a chuckle.
"I'm sorry did you say voices in the wind?" Pyro sputtered, his nose scrunched up in confusion, as if the concept of hearing voices in the wind wasn't normal. Which, for him atleast, it wasn't.
They didn't even notice Scott’s new outfit until it was pointed out, and he hummed in approval as he looked at it. "You do look quitr amazing, yes. Looks much more comfortable than the armour Athena has gifted me." His tone wasn't ungrateful, they could never be ungrateful to Athena herself, but the armour could be a bit heavy at times.
