Anna walked through the dark hallways of Haven. No shoes on her feet, no jacket over her bare arms. Her hair pulled back into a ponytail, tired eyes clearly visible.
She had woken from a dream, a dream about a man she knew. She recognised his face, his smile. She knew who he was... But what played out had seemed so familiar, she had needed to know.
So she made the trip to Storm's house, both unaware but also unconcerned about the time. She needed to know now.
Anna banged her fist several times, loudly, against the door. "Storm?" she called, waiting impatiently before knocking again.

If she had thought her days of being awoken by a panicked knock at the door were over now that the school was gone, Ororo was sorely mistaken. She pulled a silk robe over her night gown, glad that Logan had decided to spend the night with his girls and that Chuck was having a sleepover with a classmate, so at least the calling at her door was only waking her.
She opened the door and tried to make herself alert, but didnât have to try so much when she saw the state of Anna Marie LeBeau, âCome in, Rogue,â she said, âIs there danger? Whatâs happened?â
Anna missed practically all that storm had said as she looked up at the taller woman desperately.
Standing on the doorstep in her shorts and t-shirt, barefooted and wide eyed. "Ah had a dream. Only ah don't think it was a dream... Ah think it was a memory..." she held her arms wrapped around herself, shivering. "Oh God, Storm... What'd ah do?.." Anna's voice cracked slightly as she fought against overwhelming emotions.

Ororo reached for a shawl that was hanging on the back of the door and wrapped it around Anna, ushering her into the house where she could warm herself.
âI will put the kettle on,â she said, and steered Anna into an armchair with a gentle grip on her upper arms. She disappeared for only a moment to fill the kettle and turn it on, and returned, pulling the matching chair over so she could sit close to her dear, distressed friend.
