This is meant to be passed around at a lgbtq+ (and subtly steven universe) group I go to called project nebula. We were using this fake vanilla smelling candle that started breaking. I said I’d make a replacement, demands that it smell nice were made, so I opened a couple yogi vanilla spice perfect energy teabags and added a cotton ball with vanilla extract on it and sewed it back up. The Partner approves.

Finished flower pins that i started, literally years ago. Why is it so hard to find pin backs that dont break immediately or dont even work to begin with?

While I am forever upset that the ears don’t stand up, I sided for cuddly over accuracy, it’s for a 5 year old, after all. It came out about 23″ tall, the imperfections on the eyes bother me and I’m worried about the fabric holding up (as with all fabric I get from joanns), but it is perfect in color and texture and is super soft.

I mounted it on a board from a thirft store that I sawed very poorly. The fabric is an old sheet (so maybe cotton? cotton blend? Maybe I’ll light a bit in fire to find out sometime?) and it’s mounted over some batting. DMC thread stolen from my mom and some embroidery wool (that’s acrylic) from the same thrift store, different visit, for the body. And hours. lots and lots and lots of hours (at work).
