'Honor board for 2' - house euro sausages, bacon, poached eggs, truss tomatoes, avo w/ feta, smoked salmon, mini Bircher, wedges, seasonal fruit & assorted breads & house butter, $32.50 • Honor Food Co, New Farm • 6-3pm (Mon-Sun) (all day brekky) • Veneziano coffee, latte $3.50 • Nestled at the corner of Sydney and Brunswick streets, Honor is perfectly positioned directly across from New Farm Park 🌱 Brekky board for 2 - need we say more? 😱 The board had lots of different items which was great for indecisive people like us. Mini muesli was a bit bland and soggy but everything else on the board was great 👌🏻 Good size & value. Counter service and staff were friendly & helpful. (at HONOR FOOD Co.)

Beef & jalapeño croquettes w/ green tabasco aioli, poached eggs, bacon jam & rocket, $18 • Ginger + Green, South Brisbane • 7-3 pm, Mon-Sun (all day brekky) • Seven Seeds latte, $3.50 • Ginger + Green is the sister cafe of @theponycat 🐴🐱 @ New Farm and serves up a mix of unique brekky dishes (sweet potato leek pancakes, double choc brownie pancakes, crispy potato skins) & basic staples (eggs benny, bircher muesli, avo). The crispy potato skins were delightful but we found the gorgonzola on the dish a little too strong for our personal taste 🧀 Double choc brownie pancakes were a 10/10 🍫Interior was modern and clean & we liked that the iced coffees were served in beaker-type glasses (v trendy). Not busy when we were there on a Sat morning & service was efficient and courteous. Cafe was a bit tricky to find (FYI it's more on Russell St not Merivale & just up the road from @merriweathercaf). Parking can be hit and miss - your best bet is to park near Musgrave Park 🍃👍🏻 (at Ginger & Green)

Avo w/ house sourdough, togarashi & lemon,$11 (we added heritage breed bacon extra $6; $17 total) • Gauge, South Brisbane • Mon-Sun 7 am-3 pm (all day brekky menu) • White coffee $4 • Gauge doesn't serve your typical eggs benny/bacon and big brekky so bring your adventurous hats 👒 when brunching here (think raw beef, smoked kingfish & parsnip custard). Not the best when you're hungover though 😉 We loved the waffle which had excellent & unique flavours and was not too sweet (perfect for us savoury fiends). However, we baulked at the $11 avo on toast (with $6 bacon side) which we know is organic/locally produced etc but was exxy for the relatively small serving. We recommend one of the more adventurous items on the menu which is better bang for buck 💰 Try the cake-like garlic banana bread which is unlike anything you've ever tasted before! Parking is v tricky but all day brunch! 💯 (at Gauge)

The brekkie sandwich was so delicious but as we had it on a weekday morning it had us feeling the not-so-clean-eating guilts for most the day. Perfect for a weekend hangover cure! We love coming here for their 2 for 1 burgers on a Sunday arvy too. Counter service and mostly outdoor seating. Innovative little cafe that oozes West End. All food is locally produced and menu changes v frequently. Dishes we ordered were simple but tasty with amazing flavours. No bookings and expect a bit of a wait for groups on Saturdays. You also certainly will have to share a table w/ randoms (isn't that quintessentially West End though? 😉) Counter service. Parking v tricky so expect to drive around for awhile or park far away. Have a sneaky wander across the road to West End Markets after your brunch! The flowers and bakery (@cakeandbake.co) next door are super cute 🌷🍰 (at Plenty)

TBH's late brunching came back to bite us when we missed PE's brekky menu by 15 mins 😞 Luckily, coco whip (dairy free soft serve made w/ coconut water) is avail all day and we had been keen to try it for a while. It was refreshing and frozen yoghurt-esque 👌🏻 Lunch menu started at 11:30 - the nachos were tasty (not sure how healthy they were?!) but the vegan burrito bowl felt like a lot of rice. It mainly focuses on drinks but brekky menu is avail from 8-11 on weekends. Lunch menu starts from 11:30. We loved the decor but the brekky menu was quite limited and portions on the smaller side. We left a little hungry after our meals! The granola and bacon & egg sandwich but nothing really elevated the dishes. We would be keen to come back to try the place for some sunset dranks 🍹☀️ Located adjacent is 'The Stores' which we didn't get to visit but sells fresh and local produce (think something similar to Sourced Grocer). We left a little hungry after our meals! The granola and bacon & egg sandwich were decent but nothing really elevated the dishes.
