Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D 2 part finale aired on August 12, 2020. 5 members of the original team May (Ming-Na Wen), Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), Daisy (Chloe Bennet), and (A Life Model Decoy of) Coulson (Clark Gregg) were in the episode in their final fight against the Chronicoms. The epilogue, that took place one year later, was July 4, 2020. The series ran for 136 episodes and 7 seasons. The series was slow to catch on, but seemed to get its legs once in tied into the Hydra plot of Captain America and the Winter Soldier. ("What We're Fighting For", Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, TV, Event)
Batman Revolution, the sequel to Batman Resurrection, was published on October 21, 2025. Like Resurrection, the book took place between Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992). With the backdrop of Shreck trying to put back on the celebration the Joker ruined (in Batman) on the 4th of July and the city riled up in protest, Batman matched witts with the Riddler, while also fighting bands of domestic terrorists and hunting down the deadly Archer and the ariel menace of the Killer Moth. With all this chaos going on, Batman got an offer for a new partner... GCPD's secret weapon, the greatest dective in Gotham, the tipster extraordinaire... The Bookworm. Batman had started crossing lines that threatened to disappoint Alfred and threaten his relationship with Commissioner Gordon. Could Batman defeat all these foes and, just as hard, apologize? The book also made reference to Corto Maltese, where Vicky Vale had covered the war. The story featured the characters from "Batman" Bruce Wayne/Batman (Michael Keaton), Alfred Pennyworth (Michael Gough), James Gordon (Pat Hingle), Harvey Dent (Billy Dee Williams), Mayor Leo Borg (Lee Wallace), Alexander Knox (Robert Wuhl), (mentioned) Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger), the accountant (John Sterland), Eddie (George Roth) and Nick (Christopher Fairbank) and the characters from Batman Returns Max Shreck (Christopher Walken), Chip Shreck (Andrew Bryniarski), and Selina Kyle (Michelle Pfeiffer). Barbara Gordon, and Norman Pinkus/Edward Nygma/Bookworm/Riddler (who is supposed to be the page Knox called out to in Batman), Clayface, and Hugo Strange returned from Batman Resurrection. It also had an appearance by Edward Nigel Maynard from Batman 89': Echoes. Introduced into the Burton/Batman universe included The Archer, the Killer Moth and Camille. The book also explained things like the Jack Napier/Joe Chill issue, the creation of the water way that the Batskiboat used, and why Knox was no longer in Gotham in Batman Returns. ("Batman: Revolution" , DC Book Event)
The Flight of the Navigator premiered on August 1, 1986. In the movie, David Freeman (Joey Cramer) disappeared on July 4, 1978. He suddenly appeared in 1986, still a 12-year-old boy. The mystery of his disappearance and his lack of aging turned out to be tied to the discovery of a UFO that he was connected to. While the voice of the computer Max was listed as Paul Mall, in reality, it was Pee Wee Herman actor Paul Reubens. Early CGI was used to create the chrome appearance on the spaceship. ("Flight of the Navigator" Movie Event)
After 3 seasons, the anthology series One Step Beyond, ended on July 4, 1961. The episode took place in 1883. ("Eyewitness" real life event, TV)
The events of Daredevil 236# took place on the Fourth of July. After the sittuation with Nuke (Frank Simpson) during the Born Again story arc, the Black Widow was sent to take down another rogue soldier from the Super Soldier Project by the name of Jack Hazzard. Neither Daredevil or the Black Widow could have predicted the dark turn the adventure would take. The issue also introduced Jack Hazzard, Sally, and Tommy created by Ann Nocenti and Barry Windsor-Smith. ("American Dreamer", Daredevil 236#, Marvel Comic, Event)
