i spent much of my childhood avoiding my father, but then, he spent a good amount of time avoiding me as well. we had little to connect over.

a good way to spend your time, i assume they enjoy your attentions. if one claims something as their own, they are putting part of themselves into it, by taking care of what is yours, you also take care of yourself. it may sound selfish, but i actually find it quite beautiful.

i understand, and can relate. i consider all the children of this village mine, in a similar vein. many of them are parentless, and i do my best for them.

i bruise like a summer peach and bleed relatively easily, though not badly thankfully, but still, hand to hand combat isn’t my forte, fighting in general isn’t, the sweat alone!

i wouldn’t consider wanting something you don’t have a sin, perhaps that is where i and others differ, i believe something becomes a sin when it becomes twisted by evil for the sake of evil, wanting something you don’t have is natural, wanting something you don’t have to the extent you’re willing to harm yourself or others, just because you want it, not because you need it, not because you deserve it, not for the greater good, that is what i consider greed.

i understand–but i wouldn’t call that a sin by any means, so long as they aren’t hurting people to get what they want, that is just a very deep desire.

one isn’t greedy for wanting friends.  one is lonely.

Hah! The sweat is how you know you’re getting a good workout! Also wow, you sound like the opposite of me. I never bruise. Ever. Must suck being that fragile, I’d never be able to survive, I think. Not with my lifestyle.

Mmm, like I said, the key is in excess. Anything taken to excess isn’t really good for you, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be bad for you, either. Personally, I’m not keen on the whole ‘good vs evil’ schtick. I’d consider myself agnostic, if I had to put a label on it, but good and evil aren’t really ideas that mesh with me so well.
