Pop-Heart video!

Day out in London - 20th Nov. 

So I went up to London to visit The Photographers Galley to see an exhibition by the photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue. It was a collection of images that documented his marriage from beginning to end. I loved the way it was so intimate and personal. By the photographs where extracts from Lartiques diary such as "My broken heart only wishes her well' which really made me connect to the images. 

I went to visit this exhibition for my University VMC essay however it would have linked so well to our previous character brief. It has made me want to re-visit the character project and keep moving it forward.

Finally, we can see what cats would be like if they had long, bendy legs.

SANTANA - EL FAROL 

My song which was used as a starting point. I loved this song I was given, I decided to listen to it in a room with no distractions and write down how it made me feel. 

Sultry. Salsa. Flamingo. Dance. Costume. Feathers. Red. Happy. Love. Man & Women. Sway. Instruments. Evening. Lights. Gardens. Water. Dusk. Sand. 'Dirty Dancing 2.' Sunset. Drums. Sensual. Beautiful. Passionate. Rhythm. Spanish.   

How does it make you feel?

2ND BRIEF - CREATE A CHARACTER ... 

Again working on wall paper, sketch books and Mac's. We've been given a song as a starting point - from there we needed to create a character.

Throughout the process we need to learn 'What makes people tick?'  This involves,

- Listening to conversations - Recording behaviour - Looking into body language and certain characteristics & many more as you can see from above. 

An amazing video I stumbled across in the 'Word Brief.'

FORGOTTEN 

WORD BRIEF - I learnt to work in a completely different way which was on wall paper and not the normal sketchbook. I loved this - why? Because there was no ending. I never felt that when I had finished a page in my sketchbook that I had done enough for the day & could watch Hollyoaks with a cuppa. 

It meant I could keep going, no limitations. 

For VMC at university we have been asked to look at our posessions and bring to class one thing we don't mind discussing. Within reason anything, book, picture, art work, object, advert. etc...

So I have chosen Baz Luhmann's Chanel No5 short film. It shows a secret love affair between Nicole Kidman and a stranger before returning as a celebrity on the red carpet.
