Nicely preserved Roman coin featuring a portrait of Agrippina the Elder, the mother of Emperor Caligula. Agrippina died in exile during the reign of Tiberius. Her son retrieved her remains and had her reinterred in the Mausoleum of Augustus in a show of familial piety. The coin was minted during his reign.

A portrait considered to be of Gaius Caesar, grandson of the emperor Augustus by his daughter Julia. Gaius and his younger brother Lucius were groomed as his successors and attained the highest offices in the state. In 3AD he was wounded during a campaign in Armenia and died the following year at the age of twenty-three. His passing led to Tiberius taking up the mantle of Augustus' successor.
