Part time RP'er

I sketched these a year ago, before GF and MM.

Inspired by Stolas loses everything theory and a song "Hell To Your Doorstep" from Count of Monte Cristo the musical.

Basically in this AU, Stella and Andrealphus try to strip Stolas of his power but everything goes awfully wrong. Octavia realizes how much of an awful people her mother and uncle are, and when Blitz comes to Stolas's rescue Andre kills him which results in Stolas going into full rage mode and killing Andre. Stella flees to her brother's mansion.

While Stolas is not ready to say goodbye to Blitz, he begs Ozzie to find a way to bring him back and Stolas kinda turns into a villain/ goes into a crazy mode but tries his best to not show this to Via, who suspects things are not great with her father’s mental state. He takes Loona in and supports IMP financially. He fakes Blitz’s funeral, without showing off the body, which is kept safe in Ozzie’s laboratory so Loona and M&M wouldn’t suspect anything until Blitz is back.

Sometime later (weeks?) Stolas goes to find Stella, kidnaps her, and torments her until she begs him to spare her life but he kills her and gives some of her organs and blood to Ozz. Ozz uses this to bring Blitz back. Stolas also threatens the Goetia family who are disturbed by Stolas's change and by almost killing one of the other Goetias, he finally earns the Goetia Family's full respect and they decide to let him be too afraid for their skins. With one exception – Vassago, who is genuinely concerned for Stolas and tries to talk to him but after the conversations, Stolas keeps claiming that he has everything under control. Stolas is full of hate for royals but treats fairly lower class hellborns unless they're assholes.

A couple of days later Blitz is revived but it's kind of an imp version of Frankenstein and at first, he freaks out and is not happy about it at all. And tries to comprehend changes in Stolas's personality. He doesn’t know if he loves Stolas anymore or not and needs time to process things while recovering from being revived and gaining strength in his body.

I have a million headcanons and ideas and general fun stuff I could do with Spy vs Spy, but the main idea in the ol noggin is "how would u reboot the franchise into an adult-oriented action-comedy"

The basic premise of this AU as of now is that Robotnikland (Eggmanland?) was built out of the Kingdom of Acorn, itself being based from whatever city or such that was shown in the OVA itself. Possibly; I’d have to rewatch the OVA to make a final decision on it.

Sonic, Tails, and Robotnik are based on their OVA versions; in fact they are them for the most part, save that Robotnik no longer desires Sara as his wife (for obvious reasons), and perhaps any personal touches I add on. The SatAM characters might be more changed from their canon selves, or I might combine them with their Archie counterparts to an extent. Also, the Freedom Fighters in this are far more cautious, mainly because they don’t have a super speedster on their side (yet).

Before I get into the details of specific character changes, there’s the issue of the Roboticizer. What I’m currently leaning towards regarding it is that Chuck initially builds the first one. Robotnik, being the egotist that he is, takes this as something of a personal affront and builds his own from whole cloth. That, or he ignores it in favor of stuffing animals into Badniks.

Moving onto to character changes; some of these are minor, some not. Note not of this is set in stone yet, and can change.

Antoine

His sword is a family heirloom, but he lost it somewhere. This lurks at the back of his mind as a constant failure.

Bunnie

Bunnie becomes a rabbot some time into her Freedom Fighter career, after she gets captured and used as a test for Robotnik’s Roboticizer, if he builds one.

Chuck

Not sure yet if he gets captured by Robotnik or no.

I’m also debating on whether or not to make him Sonic’s Uncle, as in biologically speaking. Personally I think it might be a good twist.

Dulcy

Honestly I completely forgot about her until now. Other than giving an explanation as to where she comes from, I can’t think of any notable changes to her at the moment.

Nicole

I’m debating whether to keep her an AI in a handheld, or have her be a flesh and blood member of the group. Probably the former though.

Nicole might be one of the more important members of the group, being able to access computer systems, even the ancient ones. However, doing so puts her at some risk of viruses or security measures, especially if she’s an AI.

Rotor

The second most useful member of the group; he makes the weapons they use aganist Robotnik’s robots.

Sally

This Sally isn’t near as confident as in the show. Not quite sure yet; perhaps its because she hasn’t dared to make any major attempts at fighting Robotnik as in the show, or that she has just tried one that turned into a major bust and got one of the group (Bunnie) captured.

She wouldn’t admit it, but she’s begun to give up on the idea of reclaiming her kingdom in favor of just surviving.

Snively

Yet again, I didn’t think of anything for him. He still works Robotnik of course, but not sure if he’s related yet.

Anyways, this is the meat of the stuff I’ve determined for this AU so far. Will probably expand on it later, life allowing.

Hmmm, fascinating, veeeery fascinating. I think it could be safe to keep Snively as Robotnik’s nephew, even here- like all incarnations of the guy there isn’t exactly oodles of backstory to work with, and Sniv’s dynamic works best when there’s a blood relation given that it adds an extra edge of personal betrayal and disillusionment to their dynamic. 

Also, I would vote for keeping Chuck as Sonic’s uncle- heck, one idea I always liked to envision for more game-centered continuities was that Sonic initially got his plane from Chuck, and he works well as a means of explaining who raised Sonic and all that. 

I believe it was hinted that Eggmanland/Robotnikland/Robotropolis used to be New York city, or something like it! 

And I was going to go with the Uncle Chuck being Sonic’s biological uncle. Though I hadn’t considered where Sonic got the plane and who raised him; your idea is giving me a few potential ideas though.

I thought it was New York city or an equivalant; now I need to figure out how the Kingdom of Acorn could have established from it, if it is based there.

The OVA implies that in the distant past, Planet Freedom was once Planet Earth or at least something very close to it. Clearly at some point something happened to create the floating continents and causing the humans to abandon their homes on the surface of the world in favor of the Land of the Sky. The working theory I am dealing with now is that over time, the majority of humans living in the Land of the Sky eventually developed into the elf-like ‘Skylians’, who now comprise the majority of the human species, with ‘normal’ humans being a very tiny fraction of the population descended from those few who remained behind and migrated at a later date. 

The same disaster that caused the continents to split and created Freedom also had an affect on the wildlife, prompting a strange, accelerated mutation and evolution to occur, which resulted in Sonic’s people coming to be. While the Land of Darkness is a hostile environment, it is not unlivable- and with much of the human infrastructure left intact by the mass migrations, the newly made Mobians (or whatever you wanna call animal folk) simply moved in and built their society atop the old. The Kingdom of Acorn was founded by Sally’s ancestors organizing the various animal folk living in the ruins of New York and the surrounding wilderness, and it was rechristened ‘Mobotropolis’ (or whatever) to represent it being a place for many different peoples.

Naturally as time went on some of the animal folk would move to the Land of the Sky as well, though they are a minority population compared to the humans who live there, while the bulk of Mobians live on the surface in the Land of Darkness.
