The future of music seems to be getting considerable momentum in the past several weeks. The most recent development has been Apple move of introducing Apple Music into Alphabet's Android operating system. Apple launched a native Apple Music app for Android with the aim of featuring its Music product in Alphabet's smartphone ecosystem. Apple Music on Android can be downloaded from anywhere across the world except China. But a Chinese version has been promised by Apple in the near future as well.

I love strategy games. They are probably the mobile game type I get most addicted to. Games like Clash of Clans have stolen hours of my life, and Tactile Wars has not been any different since I downloaded it. Tactile Wars draws a lot of its style from these games, but it also innovates and creates and utterly unique and refreshing gaming experience. It may very well be one of my favorite games of the year.

The best part about the smartwatch, be it an Apple Watch, Pebble, or Android Wear, has been getting instant notifications. And with latest updates to their OS, it is becoming easier to act on those notifications. But when it comes to text messages, it can be tricky for users to type on the smartwatch's small screen. Pre-fixed replies or voice recognition are the two main options available to send reply messages via a smartwatch.

VidMob has released its first official iOS app, allowing users to hire editors to develop videos taken from their own personal photos and video clips and edit them professionally. Users can upload content they wish to edit directly from their device’s camera roll, Dropbox or Facebook. The app also allows users to invite their friends and family send in photos and video clips that they wish to include in the projects via social media channels, email or text.

Terminology has been an indispensible tool for writers and anyone working with words for years now. Even this third iteration of the simple yet highly functional dictionary and thesaurus app was released back in 2013. Why the fresh look then? Because the developer never abandons his apps and with its recent revamp for iOS 9+ the minimalist yet powerful lexicon app I find I’m using it even more and in different ways, warranting a fresh look.

There is more good news for the Apple Watch fans. Apart from its cool looks, style convenience usage, and activity tracking benefits, now the device has been updated with more features. Starting this week, Apple is allowing users to download Apple Watch-specific versions of certain third-party health and fitness apps, taking the trendy tracker to a whole new level.

Skype has made a new update available for Android devices that will allow users to save their video messages quickly and easily, for as long as they would like. The latest Skype 6.11 version for Android will let users save any video message they like by simply tapping on it and then saving it to gallery.

Google+ fans know that the app has undergone more UI revisions than even Android itself. So it won’t come as a surprise to many that a new one is starting to roll out now. Google+ 6.8 Version is showing up in the Play Store now. But interested users should be aware that its APK won't immediately show the new design. It seems to be a server-side switch which is only active for certain users.

If I recall correctly, the first mobile game I ever got addicted to was 4 Pics 1 Word. Since then, photo trivia games have always been enjoyable to me, even though many rip-off games and rehashes saturate the marketplace. 100 Pics Quiz distinguishes itself from the rest though with a massive library of levels and topics, and the game actually becomes difficult in an entirely fair way. It's an excellent game for anyone wanting an extensive brain-teaser.

My Town: Hospital is the third in a series of apps aimed at the preschool set by My Town Games Ltd. If you are familiar with Toca Boca or Sago Mini apps, or you are old school and remember Colorforms and Fisher Price Little People playsets, the My Town series of sandbox real-world exploration and edutainment apps should be instantly familiar to you and your kids. In this edition kids get to explore a working hospital not by playing games or following rules, but rather by doing what kids do best – just playing.

Google has added certain improvements to its main Android and iOS app. Previously known as Google Search, the app has been updated to provide enhanced answers to questions. The latest version can be downloaded from Google Play and Apple’s App Store.

Facebook and Google entered an agreement that will allow Android users jump from search results indexed by Google to the Facebook app. Google parent Alphabet has been allowed by Facebook to crawl and index its app. Currently, the agreement is limited to Android devices, allowing content from Facebook to appear as links.
