♦️♦️June Wrap Up (1/2)♦️♦️⁣ ⁣ Have you guys found your favourite read of June yet? ⁣ ⁣ I'm a tiny bit early but I just realized I might have went overboard with the number of books I read this month. 🙈⁣ ⁣ So here's a quick wrap up of the first twelve books! ⁣ ⁣ 🔹The Winners Trilogy-- The series is so underrated. It's got politics, betrayal, forbidden romance and so much angst! The writing is beautiful and it's slow burn in the beginning. 10/10 would recommend. 😍⁣ ⁣ 🔹Even The Darkest Stars duology-- Hello there, book that left me a sobbing mess. This series was the biggest surprise I had this year! It's chronically underrated and thinking of the ending of the first book still gives me palpitations.😭 Y'all should give it a shot. ⁣ Ayesha at Last-- A P&P retelling with a Muslim twist. I'm afraid that while I loved the first half, the overabundance of plot lines and presence of several stereotypical characters ruined the book for me. ⁣ ⁣ 🔹Song of the Current duology-- Confession, I'm still in the middle of the second book but it's an okay read. I picked it up for the enemies to lovers trope and badass pirates but something just feels lacking. 🤷🏻‍♀️⁣ ⁣ 🔹Ace of Shades-- I saw Six of Crows on the back and I had to try it! 😂⁣ Basically, a fun read but predictable. A bit confusing but still fresh! I'd give it 3/5 maybe? ⁣ ⁣ 🔹Stormdancer-- The first of The Lotus War trilogy and I buddy read it with @books.bags.burgers ! The first half is slow but once it gets going you're golden. 😍⁣ ⁣ 🔹THUG-- Beautiful and relevant. A contemporarie I'd always recommend.⁣ ⁣ 🔹 Book Love-- Adorable and so so relatable! I'm half convinced the author must have been spying on me. 😂⁣ ⁣ And that's it! Now I have to get back to real life. Dammit. 😅⁣ ⁣ Farha out! *tries to dab gracefully. But fails. Wait, the weekend is already over?!?!⁣ ⁣ And here I was planning to be productive and maybe sorta clean my room. She's such a sweetheart and her chibis are absolutely adorable! The one in this picture is Nina Zenik and I took a pic of the back instead because this quote makes me want to giggle and cry all at once.⁣ ⁣ All of you who've read the SoC duology, you know why. 🙈⁣ ⁣ So hit me with it. Name a book or movie whose ending you hated. I wouldn't say I hate the ending of Crooked Kingdom buuuuut....⁣ It was beautiful and bittersweet and also broke my heart okay? I am very conflicted. Featuring the most loved book in my possession and it's older than me! Whenever they did visit, she'd find them on the ratty couch on the living room, too busy reading a book to play with her. One day after they were gone, the little girl wanted to see what the fuss was about, and picked up the book they left.⁣ That girl was never lonely again.⁣ ⁣ Huh. As far as uncomfortable baring of souls go, I'd rate that around the middling range. 😅 ⁣ So tell me your memories of your first book. Which was your first? Well since I'm hitting milestones today, I thought I'd try something new. I just realized that it's been ages since I posted an SoC post and whaaaaaat. 😧⁣ ⁣ I'm proud to say that my immortal love for this series has convinced three people to read this series, one who has already already finished it. And she's also sent me the requisite capital letter screaming and crying emojis at 2 in the night. 😂💃🏽⁣ Hey there @memoirsofasultana 😘 ⁣ The fact that SoC is being adapted into a TV series still blows my mind too. I'm so conflicted? I want everyone who hasn't read the books to love it but? I don't know? The books were here first, and I was here first, so I love it more asdfghhjkl. 😭⁣ ⁣ And here I call myself a decent writer. 😂⁣ ⁣ Really got my fingers croosed hoping it comes out well. Although considering the success rate of decent book to screen adaptations, I may be a teensy bit worried. The only onscreen adaptations I've ever felt do justice are To All The Boys I've Loved Before and PS I Love You. ⁣🤔 ⁣ What about you guys? Thoughts on the Grishaverse adaptation?
