We're already full swing into another exciting week at The Actors Center:

Tonight we'll be at the Front House Philm Fest at World Cafe Live. In addition to our Actors Center information table, our very own Steve Gandolfo's short film, "Rockatis," has been entered and will likely be premiering at the fest.There are still tickets available so make sure you go to the website and order yours today!

It's been another successful week for our talented students. A big congrats to Chelsea Silver for booking a "Sole Creatures" commercial. We're all very proud! We also hope you saw Shayne Coleman on last week's episode of "The Following" with Kevin Bacon. And on Monday we filmed a new "Sonic Pop Live!" segment at Philly AIDS Thrift where the kids dealt with the theme of "giving to others."

If you want to be part of this growing community of immense talent, you've come to the right place! The new winter session of The Actors Center kid, teen and 'tween classes begins March 1st! Every Saturday students ages 7-18 participate in workshops on TV commercials, voice overs, improv and dance. Sessions run for seven weeks from 10am-2pm. And if you sign up by THIS SATURDAY (Feb. 22nd) you'll get $50 off your tuition!!!

In addition to winter session, make sure to call us for details about our Summer Camp. We'll have tons of new workshops on TV commercials, voice overs, and improv in addition to comedy, stage combat, play writing, music, dance and LOTS more! 

And of course, how could we forget? This Saturday we'll be sending off  Actors Center owner, manager and instructor, Rodney Robb, to his new adventure in L.A. with a proper going away party! Stop by from 1:30 pm -2:30 pm to celebrate his incredible legacy.

It's been a very exciting week for us here in Old City. On Saturday, February 8th, three of New York's top talent agents came to The Actors Center to present a day-long workshop. 30 of our students had five minutes to perform a commercial for each agent and receive evaluations and constructive feedback. Everyone also got the chance to ask their pressing questions about working in this competitive and fast-paced industry. But best of all, the agents asked several of our kids to come up to New York City and see them again. What a dream come true!

If you missed this event, have no fear: The agents will be back next month for another stellar workshop, so be sure to reserve a spot as soon as possible. Tickets go fast (last time, we sold out in four days!). We'll keep you posted with all the details. 

Speaking of talented students, we had local film directors and producers come check out our acting classes. And not only were they majorly impressed, but 17 of our students were chosen for films around the city.

This week was also one of transition, as Boni Wolf takes over for 23-year Actors Center founder and owner, Rodney Robb. Rodney is packing up for sunnier (less snowy) skies and moving out to L.A. He will be working with his son, R.D. at production and management company, Station 3 Entertainment. This industry vet has been instrumental in putting together our incredible program and fostering years of successful talent.

We will all miss Rodney very much. "These are big shoes to fill but I will carry on his legacy and make him proud," says Boni about her newfound position.

Looking ahead to next week, on Monday we will be filming our new kids variety TV show, "Sonic Pop Live!" What's a day off from school if you don't get to have a ton of fun? 

And on Wednesday the 19th, you can find our table at Front House Philm Fest at World Cafe live where we'll be connecting with actors and filmmakers from all over the Philadelphia area.
