Look, I love Lauren, but she literally went out of her way, to put DIRECT BLAME on her fans and especially Camren shippers. It became “our” fault she couldn’t be herself. “We” made her feel uncomfortable. “We”, and ‘our art”, made her feel like a “predator”. “We” became the reason for everything going wrong in her life. “We”, her “invasive fans” were the ultimate reason for her being “outed”. If her “invasive fans” hadn’t found the picture, then Hilton wouldn’t have seen it and “outed” her. She said Hilton “outed” her, but “we” got the ultimate blame for it. (even though she was planning on coming out anyway)

I’m just going to say it, and I’m not going to sugar coat it...Lauren hates fame, and she blames us for it.  She always has. She NEEDS US, but has a problem with US, at the same time. She wants her cake, and eat it too...but she don’t want to deal with the consequences of getting what she wants.

Lauren just wants to make music. She just wants her fans to listen to her music, stream her music, and buy her music, and that’s it. She don’t want her fans to think about anything else, other than her music. She don’t want to play the game, but she wants to be successful. She can’t be successful, if she doesn’t play the damn game. Instead of blaming the Industry tactics for gaining their artists success, she blames us, more. Why? Because WE are the ones who have to make a CONNECTION with her, to make her a success...or not. It’s a CONTROL thing. She can’t CONTROL her fans, and she hates it.

Lauren finds herself in one hell of a conundrum. She wanted to come out, but now that she has, she wishes she’d stayed in the fucking glass closet. She told us why, in that podcast. She wanted to be her authentic self, but now, she finds herself pigeonholed. She said her sexuality is the only thing people want to talk about, and book her for. That’s why she was booked for that particular podcast,  to discuss her sexuality and Latinx Pride. It had a definite purpose and goal, but she was still there because she’s an out “queer”.

Lauren’s music hasn’t been garnering media attention, so she has to do shit, she don’t want to do, to garner that attention She hates it...and she blames US for it. WE are to blame for her coming out, because now she wishes she hadn’t. WE are the reason she’s pigeonholed, and instead of blaming herself for wanting to come out, she blames us for only caring about her sexuality. It’s not true. WE care about her music, her mind, and her art, but we CONNECT with her, because she’s one of US.

Camila posted Glennon Doyle’s “Untamed”. If you don’t know who she is, she is an author who was married to a man for years. She was “tamed” to conform to societal norms. “Untamed” came from her divorcing her husband and marrying a woman…Abby Wambach.

I do not understand why people are literally trying to destroy Camila’s life. For those of you who are “cancelling” her for something she may, or may not have reblogged when she was 13/15 years old, I have to ask you, Why? Seriously, what the fuck has this girl ever done to you.

I will say again, I went through her whole tumblr a few years ago, and I don’t recall seeing any of that stuff. In 2017, her layout was completely different from what those screenshots on that twitter are showing. When I went through it, she hadn’t had any updates since she created her other one.

People are saying this twitter person is archiving it all. I don’t know how that works. I’ve never archived anything, or looked at anything from an archive site. I’m not a damn hacker or a computer guru of any kind. I have no idea if it’s possible to take over an account and make up a bunch of shit from years ago, or not. I don’t know how this shit works.

What I do know, is people have made a bunch of shit up in the past, trying to destroy this girls life. (They admitted they faked the shit) I do know, people have been trying to convince me, and everyone else, she is a fucking racist, since she called Obama “my ni**a” back in 2012 on her twitter account.

She has apologized for using terms, she learned were offensive, and she hasn’t used them sense. Yes, I say learned were offensive, because she grew up in a culture where “ni**a” was made popular through pop culture, as a term of endearment. When kids hear other people using something as a term of endearment, or to address their friends, they think it’s OK for them to do the same. It’s kids using popular slang, that they hear on a fucking daily basis, thanks to popular culture. She learned it was not appropriate for her to use the slang, and she stopped.

That’s the thing I don’t get with all this recent shit. Even if it were real, which I don’t think it is, EVERY BIT OF IT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED WHEN SHE WAS 13/15 YEARS OLD. SHE LEARNED FROM HER YOUTHFUL IGNORANCE , AND SHE HASN’T BEEN AN IGNORANT YOUTHFUL DUMBASS, SINCE.

Jesus fucking Christ, when someone actually learns from their mistakes and applies those lessons learned into their adulthood, THEY SHOULDN’T BE CONDEMNED FOR IT.

I can understand the young fans being upset about seeing this stuff. It is shocking to you, that it would even be possible she could ever say stuff like that. Let me ask you, though, why is it so shocking to you, to see this shit?

You are shocked, because you can’t understand. You are shocked and upset, because you don’t feel hate when she talks to you. You don’t feel hate when she hugs you. You don’t feel hate, when she shows you her heartfelt love and appreciation.

Why is that? Because she hugs EVERYONE, no matter their race or ethnicity, with the same LOVE AND APPRECIATION, she hugs EVERYONE with. If you are in her presence, and you want a hug, a picture, an autograph, a shoulder to cry on, just someone who will take a minute to show you she cares, she doesn’t hesitate to be that person, no matter your race or ethnicity. She cares about you, just as you care about her, and she proves it every fucking time she’s around you.

Camila Cabello isn’t a fucking racist. She is a young adult, who learned from her mistakes of the past, and has applied those lessons learned to her daily life. STOP CONDEMNING HER FOR THAT!!!!!

Absolutely not. The written statement was more than adequate to address the transgressions from her youth. People should accept the apology and move on, or unstan and move on.

That’s the thing. Folks act like all this shit happened last month. It didn’t. It happened the same time the Obama tweet took place. When that came to light, she addressed it, apologized, and NEVER USED THE INSENSITIVE LANGUAGE AGAIN. She learned the harsh truth about just how hurtful racist language and racial stereotypes are, and she put that part of her past behind her...as did everyone else. We forgave her, and moved on with her.

If her apology was good enough back in 2013, why isn’t it now. It’s the same stuff, from the same age, she already addressed. But, because it’s just now coming to “light”, people are equating the behavior to her now.  Just because someone chose to “expose” it now, doesn’t mean she still uses the inappropriate language and stereotypes in her life today. She has shown absolutely no racist behavior AT ALL since we have known her.

Most likely. Why? Destroy her stock value, she has no choice but to re-sign a long term contract with her currents. They will be the only ones to give her a decent deal...Because it was planned that way. (Notice I said a decent deal, not a good one.)

Most people don’t even know, that on December 20, after all this crap came out, the labels quietly released a live EP of her NMD Apple performance. It’s a 7 song EP. Why an EP? Because it’s to the label’s discretion if an EP counts as a contracted album, or not.

A Labels goal, with every artist they want to keep, is to get them to renegotiate another long term contract, before their current one is up. It’s actually to the best interest of the artist as well. No artist wants their current label to sleep on their project, just because it’s the last one with them, before they move on to greener pastures.

I will admit, upon first listen I thought this song was about something else entirely. No, I never thought it was about the PR’s or “cheating”. I know that’s what we are supposed to think, but it just really never crossed my mind.

When I first heard it, my initial thought, was she was coming out to her parents. To be honest, that still works with the song as a whole, but there was one part that kept making me unsure about that thought. The bridge just didn’t make sense to me, with her coming out to her parents.

Who’s manager are you? I have to ask, because you seem to be traveling everywhere with Camila, but you are failing to manage her career. If this era was all part of your ten year plan, you screwed up big time.

Camila’s sophomore album, should have at the very least, kept pace with her debut. She wasn’t even close. I know you aren’t fully to blame, because Epic holds the lions share of that, but you sat on the sidelines and did absolutely NOTHING to stop this train-wreck.

If you were doing your damn job, you would have known, even the General Public was getting sick and tired of all this “relationship” bullshit. You would have known, that even her own Camilizers were getting worn out from all the “relationship” bullshit. She has done a boat load of interviews for this era, and only two have been about her and her art. Every damn interview, we have been inundated with “relationship” bullshit. EVERYONE IS SICK OF IT!!!!!

You know what else EVERYONE is sick of…Being bombarded with images of Shmila every damn time they are in the same vicinity of each other. You do realize your client actually has talent, right? How about you try and sell your client ON HER TALENT, instead of some damn propagated “love story”.

You and Andrew are the ones making sure Camila and Mendes can’t even be around each other without cameras being around. You, Dvora, and Shoshanna are the ones that negotiate topics of discussion in most of these interviews. STOP making everything about a “relationship”. It is possible to sell an album called Romance, WITHOUT having to discuss her supposed “private” life.

Do you understand the major difference, between “Camila” and “Romance”? It’s not the music. That was great on both. It’s the way they are being promoted. When asked about her first album, she left the explanation to a minimum. It was up to us to try and figure out who and what her inspiration was, for each song. With “Romance”, there is no ambiguity, at all. It’s all Shawn this and Shawn that. SHAWN, SHAWN, SHAWN. Are you trying to promote Camila…or Shawn?

You are not a fucking idiot, Roger. Camila wouldn’t have hired you, and put her faith in you, if you were. You can see, and completely comprehend what this damn shit is doing to her public image and career. It’s not hard to see, the only person all this “relationship” shit is helping, is Mendes. His numbers were boosted. Her numbers are plummeting. His image is about the same, or slightly hyped, while hers is taking a major hit. She put more asses in his tour seats, her ticket sales, at the moment, are mediocre, at best.

For years I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work. Instead I was given an opportunity to sign back up to Big Machine Records and ‘earn’ one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in. I walked away because I knew once I signed that contract, Scott Borchetta would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future. I had to make the excruciating choice to leave behind my past. Music I wrote on my bedroom floor and videos I dreamed up and paid for from the money I earned playing in bars, then clubs, then arenas, then stadiums. 

Some fun facts about today’s news: I learned about Scooter Braun’s purchase of my masters as it was announced to the world. All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years. 

Like when Kim Kardashian orchestrated an illegally recorded snippet of a phone call to be leaked and then Scooter got his two clients together to bully me online about it. (See photo) Or when his client, Kanye West, organized a revenge porn music video which strips my body naked. Now Scooter has stripped me of my life’s work, that I wasn’t given an opportunity to buy. Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it.

This is my worst case scenario. This is what happens when you sign a deal at fifteen to someone for whom the term ‘loyalty’ is clearly just a contractual concept. And when that man says ‘Music has value’, he means its value is beholden to men who had no part in creating it. 

When I left my masters in Scott’s hands, I made peace with the fact that eventually he would sell them. Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine the buyer would be Scooter. Any time Scott Borchetta has heard the words ‘Scooter Braun’ escape my lips, it was when I was either crying or trying not to. He knew what he was doing; they both did. Controlling a woman who didn’t want to be associated with them. In perpetuity. That means forever. 

Thankfully, I am now signed to a label that believes I should own anything I create. Thankfully, I left my past in Scott’s hands and not my future. And hopefully, young artists or kids with musical dreams will read this and learn about how to better protect themselves in a negotiation. You deserve to own the art you make.

I will always be proud of my past work. But for a healthier option, Lover will be out August 23.
