Thing about that scene, which was otherwise amazingly executed, is that it feels to me like they really half-assedly shoehorned Lestat into a scene he was never in in the book and I do think that changes things more than the show wants to admit?

Look say what you will about Loumand but if Louis had found some human guy and said “hey he’s fascinating let’s keep tabs on this guy” Lestat would NOT have matched his freak

Should probably rewatch the bit of the episode first, but did Lestat say Gabrielle visited him twice in New Orleans??? Do we know when? Like I’d assume at least one was after the whole murder attempt situation, but did she also visit during the years post dropping Louis?? I’m curious
