*she pulls a crumpled ribbon out of her pocket and dangles it in front of his face*

zoya: hmmm, his eyes move but his body doesn’t.

wylan: guys i think it’s just a really intense dare. probably.

zoya: yeah, they definitely put each other up to this. *she looks nikolai in the eyes* i didn’t think he’d last this long.

wylan: uh yeah i’m going to make tea you guys want any?

zoya: me too

*zoya and inej plot*

*the boys r still mouthing words and gesturing*

*wylan comes back with tea, our savior*

zoya: oh thanks

*she approaches nikolai and dumps the tea over him*

nikolai: *coughing and spluttering* why did you do th-

zoya: i swear if you do that again, i wILL FEED YOU TO A VOLCRA I THOUGHT YOU WERE UNDER A SPELL

nikolai: but i wasn–

zoya: *leans in*

nikolai: *leans in to kiss her*

zoya: *slaps him*

*the slap echoes around the room*

*the camera zooms out into a view of ravka, the slap still echoing*

*time snaps back*

we are back in the room.

*one more slo-mo slap echo and you can hear the audible gasp of wylan*

time fades back to normal.

there is silence.

nikolai: jesper, you won.

jesper: but at what cost?

*fades to black*

adria’s gloomy prerecorded voice: that concludes episode one of tggbmdrs.
