I've been thinking of handling parts of the groceries myself lately. Typically it would be the job of my maid, and I'm sure she would insist that she handles it herself alone. However, I feel the need to at least develop this skill. I've been studying the theory, I hope to put it into practice.

Though, I'd be embarrassed of seeming out of place at the market.

No, I'd be happy to answer while keeping it vague enough as to not ruin the surprise. No worries.

I realize that, though I want every day spent with my dear to be special, planning a day that is special as opposed to planning a day like any other can be rather challenging. What more can I do that I haven't already done?

Aside from following the tradition of having a birthday meal with a candle—no cake, of course, something else—I try to pack the day with other activities. Which will be, as you'd know, a secret. But they're usually things we don't often get to do. I made sure to plan ahead as best as I could so nothing will go wrong. I pride myself in that.

In any case, there is also the gift. Also a secret.
