I take great pride in my United States heritage, culture, and history. My ancestors founded this once great nation and carved out the pillars for which it stands. As a 13th generation American, and patriot, I plan on preserving the Anglo-Protestant culture and classical liberalism that is the bedrock of this country. ..I am married to a beautiful green-eyed woman with two beautiful blue-eyed children. My life is dedicated to preserving the culture of my grandfathers and passing it on to my children and grandchildren. This Tumblr is in appreciation of the Germanic and Celtic people and is a reflection of what I think about most often: freedom, women, nature, guns, and civic nationalism.

On August 15, 1961, 19-year-old Conrad Schumann was sent to guard the Berlin Wall, which, on its third day of construction, was little more than patches of barbed wire. That day, he witnessed sad scenes of families that were separated by the wall and found himself the target of vitriol from West Germans protesting the wall's construction. At around 4 p.m. that afternoon, Schumann saw trucks arrive with material to make the wall even stronger and — panicked by the idea of being "enclosed" within East Germany — he decided to make a break for it by leaping over a low string of barbed wire and into West Germany.

Schumann's leap over the wall was captured by a photographer at the scene. Dubbed the "Leap Into Freedom," it remains one of the most iconic images of the Cold War to this day: https://inter.st/jujr

What many fail to mention when doing historical research of the period is that the War for Independence would not have been won without the aid of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette of France. With maneuvering from Benjamin Franklin, the French King made a divisive choice to go against neighboring England and send his troops to the American colonies. Their funding supported, fed, clothed and aided the Patriot cause and allowed our separation from England.
