headcanon #1: Nufuli liked stargazing. he'd do it when he couldn't sleep a lot of the time. when Leo came around, they would stargaze together, and Leo started to like stargazing thanks to Nufuli

headcanon #2: Nufuli started to have dreams about getting killed during the Director arc. when he told Leo that he was having dreams (and thinking about) getting killed, Leo would always low-key brush his concerns off in a way that seemed like it was meant to be reassurance that he'd survive the Director

headcanon #3: both of them kept mementos that reminded them of the other. when Nufuli died, Leo took his belongings and kept them in his office. he put most of them away but he kept a few select things out/on his desk

headcanon #1 and #2 would fit together, maybe Nufuli always liked the stars, and when they had to spend days and nights chasing after their bounty he'd look up as they travel, enjoying the quietness and light of the stars

he'd been having those weird nightmares for a long time, even before meeting Parrot, but they only began to make sense when the Director's attacks started and his nightmares became worryingly common. he'd go outside the BAT headquarters and just sit down on the roof, looking up at the stars to calm himself down

it was during one of those many nights that Leo found him, he knew Nufuli used to sit there when days and nights were rough, he reassured him nothing would happen to anyone in the team, not Parrot, not Leo, not him, and Nufuli believed him. they spent so many nights under the starry night sky until they didn't feel the same if either of them wasn't there, even though the other was just a few blocks away

so... i have a draft about leo and nufuli stargazing (that ends in devastation, classic anon behaviour /silly)... this is basically how i imagine it 😓 leo would find nufuli stargazing somewhere and he'd stay with him for a while, and it eventually became part of their routines to just. stargaze together.

and every time nufuli would mention that he dreamed about dying AGAIN, leo would promise that NOTHING would happen, and god forbid anyone hurt him because he'd kill them (and nufuli would promise the same in return. mutually protective goldfish ftw). so when nufuli got killed, leo blamed himself for failing to protect his best friend. you can tell we aren't normal about them and i love that

i want wemmbu to upload but only if he is sleeping well and not stressed out and is in a good mental place to do so

both Parrot and Reina neglect their hair (and overall health) a lot so Theo has taken it upon himself to brush/untangle their hair at least one a week

Theo often jokes about being Parrot and Reina's bodyguard but it's Reina who has secretly gotten rid of many assassination attempts against Parrot without any of them noticing

↑ adding onto this, Reina doesn't do that well on outnumbered fights or when she's being watched by many people, while Theo is unaffected by this + he's a really good pvper

Parrot is the most empathetic with Reina because he's lost many friends too, he always offers her the same advice he needs but doesn't follow (something Reina WILL let him know)

sometimes Reina feels excluded because she isn't an avian like the other two, when Theo notices he jokes about how he's the biggest bird taking care of the smaller birds

every time Parrot tries to scold them for being careless/irresponsible they always flip it onto him and remind him of all the times they've had to get him out of trouble because he's so reckless with his own life

Parrot and Reina have nightmares quite often (Reina less than him) so Theo always drags them to his room and they all sleep together because it makes the nightmares stop

plus i like to imagine that Theo uses his wings as blankets/umbrellas for the other two. like shielding them from the rain with his wings
