βοΈ Alright. What is it that I'm trying to do. Start with the most broad look and then zoom in.
βοΈ I aim to clean our room. It is absolutely inhospitable and has fallen to entropy and mess in the wake of 1) not being in this room for 2 weeks and 2) having to frantically move the furniture around for the aircon repairmen.
βοΈ The closet racks are strewn about and there are many clothes scattered on the floor. The majority of our clothes need a wash, especially with us having an informal job and coming to get a formal parttime job in less than 2 weeks. We can't just put everything in our laundry hamper because it is filled with clothes we've already washed. And we can't just out our washed clothes into the closet racks because theyre filled with unwashed clothes and are strewn about the room.
βοΈ The desk is absolutely cluttered. We've fallen into the habit of using our computer at our bed, which is bad for our posture *and* our mental hygeine. Routines are key.
βοΈ The bed needs to be made. This will require having to temporarily relocate the legion of pillows and stuffed animals we've acquired. We should wash the bedsheets as well. Refer back to the clothing issue why washing is currently being considered an obstacle.
βοΈ The desk doesnt seem to be tied into any other issue, so what is slowing us down? Why can't we declutter it?
βοΈ Space seems to be an issue. WHERE do we put all these books?
βοΈ We do have the storage bench. It's only partially filled with books.
π There were ideas to sell some things too. [MUST BE FUNNY. IN A RICH MAN'S WORLD]
βοΈ Now is not the time to think about garage sale plans. We'd have to run everything by our mother first, if there are some things she would rather keep for the house.
βοΈ We also have the massive stack of containers we used during our college days. Surely we can use them. Some are empty. Some hold things that need to be thrown out. Some are just bad with spatial management.
βοΈ It is certainly possible to work through this clutter. It's just a matter of not getting overwhelmed by it.
βοΈ I will start with the container bench.
