The beautifully carved alter and decorations of the Man ancestral Hall between Tai Po and Fanling. The Man clan migrated to San Tin, in Hong Kong's New Territories during the fifteenth century. The hall was built in the middle of the seventeenth to honour Man Fat-po, an eighth generation ancestor.
The building follows the traditional style, with three halls and two courtyards between them. The ancestral tablets are housed in the middle hall. The building was also used as a school for clan youth.
