[url=the-luggage] Pitterpatterpitterpatterpitterpatter THUNK. You clearly heard the sound of hundreds of little feet following you. But as you turn around, there's nothing but a pretty large wooden chest with beautiful gold ornaments standing on the ground. Odd, how you haven't noticed the chest, as you had walked past it. ((Because honestly, as a magical wanderer like Roland, he CLEARLY needs a magical piece of luggage following him. 8D))
No traitor to Knowing, no obtuse Poet to the Beyond, Roland squints at this disappearing, reappearing Trunk, and looks at it firmly.
He does not move to take a step ātwards it, nay; but instead speaks to it. āArt thou sentient?ā he asks it, unwaveringly; frozen to marble.
The chest makes a valiant effort looking very non-sentient. In fact, it did really just look like an ornamented chest standing a little misplaced in this alley. Nothing would make anyone suspect the chest to be sentient, or anything but a simple wooden chest really.
However the more he stared a the chest, the more it looked like it felt uncomfortable under his stare. Which is absurd of course. Itās a chest. It doesnāt have a face. It canāt have emotional expressions at all.
Yet.
Eventually the chest creaked softly and it almost seemed like the wooden equivalent to a sigh. Slowly, almost hesitantly a set of hundreds of tiny little feet emerged from the ornaments at the bottom of the chest. Standing up the chest trippeled around for a bit, before turning to face Roland. Well. Again, it has no face. But it turned the side towards him, where a lock indicated the front of the chest.
As it was standing there, tilted slightly backwards, as if it was looking up at him, it looked almost expectantly.
