Like girl it's the easiest fucking thing in the world to make a leftist laugh. Put one of us down in front of a computer and play a YouTube Poop and we'll bust a gut. Misspell a word on purpose and watch us crack the fuck up. Say "🅱ingus 🅱ongus." Put sour gummy worms in cheap energy drink (do not do this). Rapidly change the tone of your voice halfway through a sentence. We have no discernment and laugh at the stupidest fucking shit imaginable.

don't think this is exclusive to public spaces like the mall or the park or whatever either. she has a tablet and access to the internet, just the same as you do. she can read, write, and make her own decisions. she has a husband.

I worked at what's called a level 2 intermediate care facility, the people in our care had needs that exceeded what could be met in a group home environment. I was told that, in order to qualify to live there, you had to have "a primary diagnosis of either mental retardation or cerebral palsy and an IQ under 70".

most of the people I served will never speak so much as a single word. so many of you could not even spare them a single thought, hundreds of people chimed in to speak up and make it about anyone else.

this is about my friend who was born with hydrocephalus, he's supposedly blind but you can tell he can see enough to track where you are. when you call each other retarded, I don't think about how I'm autistic, I think about how he's not supposed to be able to understand spoken words but I once heard him laugh at a joke.

it makes me angry that I have to spell this out for you. I used the slur because I wanted it to be completely unambiguous who I was talking about. the modern term is "intellectual disability", but I thought surely if I just said the fucking word itself everyone would know I didn't mean autism and ADHD, right?

A few more pictures of the 99k. I got this gunky friend a few months ago at a garage sale for $20 CAD, and it's not in working order yet but at least it's no longer gunky. Also I looked up the serial number and it's from 1958.

It was evidently stored somewhere damp, because the case is falling apart and will need mold-killing and glue and refinishing. And, as seen in the previous post, the pedal is rusty on the outside and asbestos-y on the inside so I'd like to replace it. I'd also like to get some help to replace the wires, as two of them are damaged. (There's a chunk of rubber missing from the light's wire and a lot of old electrical tape around the pedal one.) The motor itself seemed fine when I tested it, and I'm not sure about the light but it's less important. But all of that can wait until the poor thing has a comfortable case to sit in again, and as it's getting close to freezing out and I have nothing resembling garage space, I don't think I'll be able to properly sand and paint it until next spring. I do at least want to steam the fabric off and re-glue the corners soon.
