Some things to know about me:

1. My name is Johnny Cash, but you can call me Johnny. Or Cash. Or even Johnny Cash. I like to use Cash when I’m feeling like a “bad boy” as they put it.

2. I’ve done many a bad things in my time, none of which I endorse. I was - and maybe still am in some ways - a bad man. But I hope to be turning the tide, inspirin’ goodness and hope however I can. I know we all could use a little of that right about now.

3. I am a man of the people and for the people. I grew up dirt poor, and I was incredibly lucky to be given the opportunities I was as a young man. I hope to use those opportunities to spread my messages of love and activism - but sometimes that does mean stickin’ my ground and sayin’ what’s what.

4. I never shot a man in Reno. I just so happened to pull the trigger and wouldn’t you know it, there was a bullet in that son of a gun. And that bullet so happened to hit a man, and that man subsequently bled out. I may have just stood around and watched him die, but the coroner said it was natural causes, so I can’t be held liable.

5. Country music has changed a lot since I was first startin’ out, and the way it’s turned has upset me so. Country used to be about stickin’ it to the man so to say. It used to be about real struggles of real people, and also just silly lil’ cowboy songs - not all this boot lickin’, wife beatin’, bull shittin’ bullshit you hear on the radio these days (do you people still listen to the radio?). However, I see the tide shifting again with folks like Jesse Welles and Tyler Childers just to name a few. If y’all ain’t heard of them yet, I recommend you give ‘em a listen.

6. Last but not least, or maybe it is, I am the man in black. For many a reason, and that reason is you.
