I think the only thing that bothers me about how they wrote Al-Hashimi’s use of AI is that she calls it “my generative AI app”. It’s too overt. Someone trying to get me to use their new LLM app would probably call it “my new neural reasoning-powered charting assistant” cloaked in six layers of buzzwords and anthropomorphization because they correctly guess that spelling out what it actually is will make people suspicious of it.

I think what makes 6-7 so dangerous is that the numbers are next to each other. 69 is pretty bad, but those numbers are far away from each other so they’re not going to occur outside of specific instances. 6 and 7 are right next to each other, so when you’re making estimates (6-7 months, 6-7 people) they’re going to occur more often together, and when you’re counting up, 6 and 7 will always be next to each other.
