The first time batista told rey about his lunch box collection… i like to think they were at a point where they were seeing each other more and more and batista thought “ok well shit… might as well tell him ab my niche” bc he has a whole room in his place dedicated to it 😭 so he might as well tell him abt it. I think rey probably laughed when he heard it but not bc he was making fun of him, i think he just found it really cute like awww ur so meow meow dave :) batista is just very into his lunch boxes, he even bought one for rey to keep, and rey uses it occasionally because it makes him think of batista a lot of the time (its a skateboard lunch box shhhhhh)

Of course reycito trusts his batista with his masks, the first time he asked batista to take his mask off for him, batista was highkey tweaking out (get that man Adderall bro) because wait rey i think i’m literally not allowed to do that, but he’s sore af rn and it’s just the two of them right now so rey is like its fine, i hurt pls help me take it off 💔 batista is very reluctant ab it but he does it, and because of how important the mask is to a luchador, that moment was very intimate and I like to think that this is where their relationship deepens hehe

Batista is ALWAYS… WORRYING… AB REY… its cuz i headcanon that rey is kinda reckless sometimes for #aura, it doesnt help that he’s a high flyer either. So whenever rey does something kinda dangerous, and kinda stupid (occasionally) batista always grills him about it, although he always does what he can not to be super aggressive with rey when he’s angry with him. Because he’s not really angry with him, he just hates seeing bad things happen to him. Rey’s gotten better about it as he’s gotten older, but in his younger days he would not let that man rest 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 rey also feels bad about making his bf worry so much because while rey sometimes does a lot of stupid stuff, he does feel bad if it does stress dave out

in RMWIH (my fav au… best au evar) sometimes when angie isnt around and dave is napping (light sleeper that sleeps all the time) <- im not projecting, rey will sometimes sleep directly on batista’s back. he can ONLY DO THIS if no luchas are in the house or if theyre preoccupied with their hobbies. Theres been quite a few moments where dave has had to roll his husband off of him bc he couldnt handle the weight of rey, fenix, penta, dragon lee, kalisto, and sin cara all at once (the cuddle piles in that house get kinda insane)

in PWGAU, rey gets too into osu!mania sometimes. Too the point where to keep him from malding too bad, batista has to lift rey from out of his chair and force him to go outside 😭😭😭 or workout with him or whatever. But he does play a lot of games with him! They play a lot of mario kart wii together because it makes them nostalgic but he knows that rey knows an autistic amount of knowledge about the game (that’s why batista changes the code sometimes 😭 hes smart) he’s not as into touhou as rey is but he plays the touhou mobile rpg with him because he likes to feel closer to him that way. They will often play each other’s favorite games

batista loves picking rey up but rey often slips out of his arms like he’s a cat 😭😭😭 its cuz he does it at weird times like dude i’m trying to fix our sink put me down, it’s a fair trade off tho bc reys always jumping on top of his back at weird times like rey lock in im cooking
