he downed the rest of his liquor, grinning.

“Of course, Terra is only 20 or so jumps from this point anyhow.” That is if Yondu decides to go in the first place, but Corvus knew the man, worked for him for a long time now. He has a feeling that he would go for it, even if it meant that they could no longer use the route that passes through Terra.

Shame, he did like making the occasional stops there--it helped that he could easily blend in due to similar appearances.

He drank half of the contents inside his glass, Corvus let out a small ‘whoop’ as he felt the familiar burn in his throat. “That’s why your the captain here, Blue. You see the big picture and you know, I would go with whatever decision you make. Even if you decide not to pick up the kid.” He trusted him, a rarity given their line of work.

“Sure sure, but just you wait Blue, you’ll see that I was right about it.” He said before downing the rest of his drink. “So what do we do now until you make up your mind?” They could plan to relax for a few days, let this exile sink in or they could just continue on, find clients that are willing to hire them.

stakar could very well die for all he cared. how was he to know the old man was killing his hellish spawns? and what good was a code when it didn’t protect your own. the other man hadn’t left him any say, any chance to explanation and his whole clan had been punished with him. they had gotten money out of those deals and most of his people were loyal enough to shut up, but still.

to say he was angry and bitter would be an understatement.

corvus’ words were appreciated, even though yondu looked like he hadn’t listened. they were true after all. they were still ravagers, no matter how many petty words stakar wanted to label them with.

he raised an eyebrow at the medic.

“ the kid? keepin’ it? ” he barked a short laugh and shook his head. “ what do ye wanna do with him? throw him in the cargo bay? eat’im? nah, no place on this ship fer a brat. but we might as well finish the job. ”

“Well I wouldn’t say no to trying out Terran flesh, but I was thinking more along on keeping them as a subtle form of passive-aggressive fuck you.” Who knows, the terran might turn out be useful--either as a Ravager or potential test subject because when is he ever gonna get a celestial hybrid to tinker with.

“Besides--” He tossed the device over to Yondu. “--he already paid us for the others and that’s enough to keep us well taken care of for the next long while.” Even if they don’t take jobs for the next year or so.

Moving over to the nearby shelf, Corvus picked up one of the bottles and poured the alcoholic contents into two glasses. “Come on Yondu, what do you say? It’s not like we don’t got the space or anything.” He held out one of the glasses to the centuarian. “Not like we got much left to lose either.”

HC 04. Aside from working as the fleet’s doctor, Corvus also has another occupation within the group--Interrogator. When someone is being a tiny bit stubborn and resistant even against Yondu’s threats of being skewered with an arrow, that’s when they call him in. Utilizing his medical skills, Corvus can physically torture the poor soul for hours without the risk of death--and this is where the Ravager shows his true colors of a sadistic and cruel man with no empathy at all for his victims.

He can see it, the slight bit of disappointment mixed with frustration.

“if you could “accidentally” medicate him with somethin’ his system wouldn’t agree with, i don’t think anyone would be mad.” stitch gritted his teeth as corvus snipped away at the remains of his shirt, the slight motions pulling on the melted fabric and irritating his raw wound. he cursed under his breath at the pain, hands curling into fists to distract himself from the discomfort. “do it quick. i don’t wanna be dyin’ in anticipation for you to peel my skin off.” it was bound to hurt like a bitch, but it was the only option.

“I’ll make a note of it.” It wouldn’t be too difficult, just disguise it as a simple physical and give him something that would make things really interesting. He tossed the damaged shirt into a nearby hazard bin to be incinerated later on and grabbed a container from one of the shelves.

“Deep breaths, on the count of three--” Before he even started counting, Corvus ripped the biggest piece, tossing it into one of the hazard bins. “--sorry.” He opened the container to apply the cream with a disposable sponge onto where the skin was ripped. “Just a couple more pieces.” And they were small ones, so it shouldn’t hurt as bad as the first. “Deep breath--” And with quick succession, he ripped the last pieces from the Ravager’s back and applied the soothing cream. “There, not so bad was it?”
