Hearing her full name she shuddered a bit. “Well thank you for the obvious point there, Hercules.” She stated back towards him. “And I will sleep it off. I was just offering something more comfortable than my couch if you’re going to be making sure I’m fine.” 

“I appreciate the offer. But, I’m not kicking you out of your bed.” He was far too much of a gentleman for that. “The couch is fine. I can survive one night on a couch.” He offered her a smile. “Don’t worry about me. I’m good.”

Meg nodded softly. Looking over at him before a small hiccup came out. “You don’t have to stay on the couch.” She admitted softly towards him. Though her being drunk, and Herc being how he was.. she was certain he wasn’t going to be staying on the couch. At least she tossed out the offer.

“Megara, you’re drunk.” He replied. “You need to sleep it off.” Her place wasn’t very far and that was probably a good thing because in her current state, he wasn’t sure if she would vomit or fall asleep or both.

Looking over at him she just kept her mouth shut. If he only knew how much she cared about it. How she hated being so cold towards him, but if she wasn’t… he’d get hurt. Hades would most likely find out she wasn’t playing her role right, and then what? The thoughts were too much with her head spinning the way it was and she just bit her lip and thought of something else for the time being. Nodding softly she reached out for his arm. Lightly hooking hers with his to keep herself on two feet. “Yeah.. sleep… would you stay?” She asked her voice quite. Still putting it together in her mind she really asked that out loud. “I mean.. with me tonight? “ 

Hercules hesitated. He didn’t like the hot and cold vibe she was giving off. Yet, here she was asking him to stay. Letting out a heavy sigh, he nodded. “I’ll stay with you. I’ll get you settled in and then I’ll get situated on the couch.” He informed her. “That way if you need anything, you’ll know where to find me.”

Chewing on her cheek she looked up at him with soft eyes. Could she really be trusted drunk and around him? What if she told him about the deal she had with the devil? A small smile pulled on her lips before she shook it off. Brushing back a messy curl from her face. “I was perfectly fine with just getting an uber, but fine. Just so you can sleep peacefully Wonder-boy, you can take me home..” 

“Thanks for the concern about my well-being.” He muttered. Truth be told, he wasn’t sure if Meg did care or not. One minute, he felt like she did and the next, he felt like if a bus was coming towards him at full speed, she’d leave him to die. It wasn’t so much the lack of reciprocation of his feelings that bothered him. He was a grown man, he could deal with that. It was the hot and cold he got from her. The fact that he really never knew where they stood. Were they even friends? “Come on then.” He said, motioning to her. “Let’s get you home so you can sleep it off.”

“Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only one in this family whose life isn’t falling apart.”

“Yes, Wonderboy - I got this. You can put your here to save the day face away. I don’t need it.” she said stubbornly crossing her arms over her chest as she looked up at him trying to keep herself together. Though she was certainly wobbling just trying to stand still. Narrowing her eyes she chewed on her cheek for a second before sighing and letting her shoulders and head fall back. “Fine. Help me call an Uber, cause the screen on my phone is too bright.” 

He shook his head. “No need. I’ll take you home.” There was no sense in her wasting money on an Uber when he was perfectly capable of taking her. “Besides, I’m not gonna stop worrying until I know you’re alright. So, might as well humor me, right?”

Meg knew she over did it. Enough to know, how much of a fool she was probably making herself look in public. With everything in her, and the double vision making her even messier, she made her exit. Leaning against the cool brick when she finally got outside. Everything else was just a buzzing rush around her while she tried to pull herself together enough to get her phone out, and get herself a cab. With a hand on her arm she quickly pulled it away, stumbling just a bit. “Nope. I got this. Don’t even.. try..” She hiccuped shaking her head as she wobbled a bit more away from them. 

“You got this, huh?” Herc asked, his tone making it clear that she didn’t have this. “Okay, fine.” He let her go. “You clearly got this. Go ahead.” Because of course, Meg could never just accept help, not even from him. He was frustrated by it but he wasn’t going to force the issue. If she didn’t want his help, that was fine. No, he wouldn’t leave her there, like this. He would stay until he made sure she was alright.

“I didn’t mean to snap, it just…. hasn’t been a good day. I’m sorry,”

“Hey, we all have those days. No harm done. Ya know, if you wanna talk about, people say I’m a good listener.” He offered.

“I mean once and a while it happens. She should learn to wear her padding.”

“True. But, you could also not hit her quite so hard.” He pointed out.

“Yesterday during a game, I collided with this girl and broke three of her ribs. Obviously I didn’t mean too, but like they didn’t penalize me or anything. Perks of being tiny, I guess.”

“That doesn’t sound good. It sounds like the game is far too rough. Sports shouldn’t lead to broken bones.” Of course, it happened on occasion, but if it could be avoided then it should.

“What?” Damian looked to the voice, snapping back to reality and stuffing his phone away. “Yeah, sorry- Uh, just a stressful text message, you know?”

“Oh, okay. Well, uh, if you need something, just ask. I know you don’t know me, but ask anyway.” Herc was the type of person that cared about people and wanted to help if he could.

“Fuck. Fuck.” If Damian knew what hyperventilating was like, he’d probably recognise this as it.

Herc looked at him, concerned. “Hey, are you alright?”

Lottie couldn’t glow any brighter, well for this moment in her life. Surly she’d have a day beaming brighter than the sun, but for right now. The small pink little micro pig inside the large travel bag had her heart. “Now I got somethin’ to show ya’. Are you ready?” She squealed out, not caring if they said yes or no. They would meet Sir Oinks. 

He had no idea what he was about to see but the blonde was just so excited that it piqued his curiosity. “Uh, sure why not?” Herc said. He couldn’t imagine what could possibly have someone so happy. “What am I ready for exactly?”

Meg rose her brows looking up at him. Given they couldn’t really escape one another, it was far too easy to just play around with him. “Up to me? So are you saying you’re already entertaining the thoughts of other ways, Hercules?” At his words she tensed up a little. Meg knew he meant every single letter in those words and she just nodded. “Of course you are. And I mean you know I’ve got your back.” She stated with a small, casual shrug . 

“Then I guess you should start proving me wrong and impressing me, shouldn’t you wonder boy?” She teased back with a smile on her face. Nodding to everything he was saying she tilted her head softly. “How exactly do you plan on making a fire in doors? Just curious here. And I don’t scare easily at all, buddy.” 

“There’s a little invention called a fireplace, Megara. Ever hear of it?” He asked, giving her a teasing grin. “It’s a handy way to provide heat indoors and it will help keep us warm when the power goes out.” He replied. He then snorted. “If you say so. But, I know people who have said the very same thing that are still having nightmares from these stories. Just warning you.”
