🌸☀️Sun Rejuvenation Spell ☀️🌸
Rise like the sun
Materials needed!
Crystal: citrine, sunstone, golden calcite, tiger’s eye, clear quartz
Flame: match or candle
Location: A quiet place in the sun, inside or outside is fine.
Spellwork!
- Take your crystal and let it soak up some wonderful sunshine (not for too long because it could fade! Use your crystals responsibly!)
- Light your candle and place the charged crystal near it. If you’re using a match hold the crystal in your other hand and gaze at the flame.
- Chant, mentally or out loud:
“I am awake,
I am refreshed,
I am whole,
I shine bright,
I am the light.”
- Feel recharged and refreshed for the day!

Interviewing a Spirit
Whenever we’re encountering a new spirit we’re thinking of working with, asking the right questions is important. Here’s a list of potential questions to ask that can be useful in figuring out their vibe and if they have a place in your practice.
What is your name/what can I call you?
Is there a name in my language for the type of being you are?
What do/would you want from me?
How do you sustain yourself? (aka, what do you “eat?”)
What are you looking to gain/do/achieve? Short or long term.
What do you think of humans?
Do you agree to respect any boundaries I set?
Would you like or require offerings from me?
If so, what kinds of offerings do you like to receive?
What are your favorite colors/smells/foods/sounds/etc.?
Do you plan on staying around a long time or would any arrangement be temporary?
Do you have any other loyalties? With whom? (It’s not always bad if they do, but it’s important to know.)
Is there anything you dislike or are afraid of?
What signs might you show me to let me know you’re there?
Do you have/want an anchor? What kind?
Do you have any particular talents?
Is there anything you struggle to do?
🌻🌞Litha🌞🌻
🌻 Midsummer, or summer solstice
🌻 Art By: Lanajay_Art on instagram https://www.instagram.com/lanajay_art/
________________________________________________________________
🌞 When Is Litha?
🌻 Northern Hemisphere:
20-24 June
It is typically celebrated on the longest day and the shortest night of the year
🌻 Southern Hemisphere:
20-24 December
________________________________________________________________
🌞What Is Litha?
🌻 Litha is the celebration of the longest day and the shortest night of the year. The sun god is thriving and at his most vibrant peak, giving warmth to the earth and growth all around. We are celebrating the potential and successes that surround us. From now on the days will begin to become shorter again and darkness will begin to take over. The summer and warmth are still sticking around for a while, though, and it is still a very happy occasion. We are celebrating the pregnancy of the Triple Goddess with the Horned God. The Oak King is currently ruling the waxing half of the year while the Holly King is ruling the waning half of the year. The Holly King and the Oak King are battling with each other and the Holly King will eventually overrule the Oak King. Litha is a time for important magick and major spell work that needs to be put into action; It’s the best time to complete any huge magickal workings that need tackling. Before the darker days return, we must celebrate.
________________________________________________________________
🌞How To Celebrate It
🌻 Litha comes at such a positive time of year and your celebrations will reflect this.
________________________________________________________________
🌞Activities
🌻 Tackle the most challenging and most anticipated spells and rituals at midsummer, the ones that require the most energy from you; what better time to do it than when the world’s energies are at their peak! It’s the best time of the year for rituals to do with fire, faery magick, love, passion, energy and luck for the warmer times to come.
🌻 It’s also a good time to renew any tools or create or purchase any extra magickal tools you may require.
🌻Throw a midsummer bonfire or have a fire ritual. Or organize an outside gathering to simply enjoy the sun! There are loads of different ways that you can do this, a traditional midsummer bonfire would (obviously) be outside, although if this is not an option, a wood burner inside would also be fine. Burn pieces of old oak, light them on the evening before midsummer, then let them burn out as they reach the morning. It is also common to scatter herbs on the fire. Some Wiccans also burn the nine sacred types of wood (birch, rowan, ash, alder, willow, hawthorn, oak, holly and hazel) to bring them good luck and a good harvest. During the midsummer bonfire they would jump over the fire, then let the fire burn down completely and sometimes collect ashes from the fire and scatter them on the fields or on their herb garden to bring good fortune in the harvesting season coming in the near future. You could also keep some ashes for luck within spell work or rituals.
🌻 Create a god’s eye: it is typically made from wool or string and its purpose is to give protection and luck for the darker and colder days to come. Hang the god’s eye above your altar or on your door.
🌻 Go for a walk and enjoy the peak of summer! Collect things from the natural world that you need for magickal workings and to place at your altar. Have a picnic or barbecue or even just go to the beach or go for a bike ride.
🌻 If you work with the fae or just like to appreciate them, midsummer is the time for the faery rede. At this time, the fae will be riding magickal animals across the countryside, so hang out, either outside your house or in a nearby field, Bells and offerings such as sparkly decorations and food can be used to create the perfect area for the fae.
________________________________________________________________
🌞Altar Ideas
🌻 Light green, yellow, gold and red candles to represent the sun god at his peak and the green earth at its fullest.
🌻 Decorate your altar with summer flowers such as sunflowers, carnations, poppies and hydrangeas.
🌻 Place a ring of flowers around your altar or around specific items for protection.
🌻 Pictures of the sun or ornaments symbolizing the sun honour the sun god being at his peak.
🌻 Oak leaves represent the Oak King, who has been ruling for this hald of the year, but will be laid to rest soon. Oak in different forms can be relevant to Litha.
🌻 Gold, yellow and orange ribbons and cloth can be draped at your altar.
________________________________________________________________
🌞Food And Drink
🌻 Warm-colored vegetables such as butternut squash, sweet potatoes, carrots and tomatoes are all great to eat around this time of the year. They represent warmth and the wonderful produce we receive from the summer.
🌻 Home-grown or locally produced leafy green vegetables
🌻 Spicy foods
🌻 Curries
🌻 Spiced cakes
🌻 Spiced punch and rum
🌻 Anything with honey or as an alternative golden or maple syrup- bees are another representation of Litha, the midsummer full moon is acutally also known as the honey moon!
🌻 Barbecued food or flame-grilled food is good to eat too; once again it represents the heat and the sun’s energy.
🌻 Ice cream- not only is it cooling in the summer months, it also represents the colder days to come.
________________________________________________________________
🌞Crystals
🌻 Relevant crystals to carry around with you this time of the year, to meditate with, to use in divination and spell work, and to place at your altar are:
Emerald
Sunstone
Citrine
Yellow Tourmaline
Yellow Topaz
Calcite
________________________________________________________________
🌞HERBS
🌻 Seasonal fresh herbs are great of Litha, as is anything that represents heat, flavour and greenery and ties in with Litha’s celebrations.
Mint
Basil
Rosemary
Sage
Honeysuckle
Carnation
Paprika
________________________________________________________________
🌞INCENSE
🌻 Good incense to use during casting circles and burning at your altar around Litha time and for cleansing and consecrating, as well as for magickal workings, are:
Lavender
Citrus scents, such as orange and lemon
Musk
Pine
Rose
Summer Flowers

☀️Sun water☀️
🌞Used for:
Protection, healing (especially physical), happiness, truth, clairvoyance, courage, strength, prosperity, luck, self-love, cleansing, confidence, leadership, justice, gardening, growth, warmth, comfort, fertility, and creativity
🌞How to make it:
Leave the water on a sunny windowsill or outside, preferably in direct sunlight. Sunrise, 9 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm are perfect times for this, or you can leave it from sunrise to sunset. You can also add herbs and flowers to it as well (lemon peels, orange peels, marigolds, chamomile, cinnamon, sunflower, etc.) Or charge it with some stones (like sunstone, orange calcite, citrine, tigers eye, goldstone or carnelian), but please don’t put these stones in the water. You can also make a sun tea with sun water for a very potent solar spell.
Tarot Cards: Interactions
When performing tarot readings, you should always take a look at how the cards are interacting with each other in order to give you a more in depth analysis of your answer.
Figures that face to the left are passive, and relate to the past.
Figures that face you directly are present, and are asking for your immediate attention.
Figures that face to the right are moving forwards, and relate to the future.
If two tarot cards are facing each other (Card I looking towards the right, with Card II looking towards the left) then they are directly connected.
Tarot cards that have multiple figures facing in different directions often represent an active situation.
Types of Divination Master list
I want to create a master list of all types of Divination, otherwise known as “fortune telling,” psychic readings, etc. But not all are the same! When I learn of other types, I will add them here. Also, feel free to re-blog with any I’ve forgotten, and I’ll add them to the list (with credit to you next to it). 🖤
✨ The Clairs ✨
- Clairvoyance: When you can see visuals during a reading, have visions, sometimes prophetic dreams.
- Clairaudience: When you can hear sounds during a reading. You may also be able to hear spirits or guides of someone you’re giving a reading to.
- Claircognizance: When you just have a knowing of something. Could be that something is going to happen, or during a reading it seems like you’re just given the answer. (This is what I use the most in my Intuitive Readings)
- Clairsentience: When you have a physical feeling on your body. It could be a tingling sensation, goosebumps, and actual tap, etc.
- Clairempathy: When you can feel what the other person is feeling emotionally, or how a situation feels emotionally.
- Clairsalience: When you can clearly smell something that isn’t a part of your environment. This could be a perfume of a deceased loved one, the smell of bread baking in an abandoned bakery, etc.
- Clairgustance: when you can taste something that is not actually in your mouth. This could happen if you are channeling someone, in a haunted bar, etc.
- Clairtangecy: when you can touch a physical object and and then almost immediately no something that has happened previously with this item, I know a lot about a person that wasn’t previously known by touching their hand, etc. If you’ve seen the show Charmed, Phoebe has this ability.
✨ Cartomancy ✨
Using cards to give a reading. Typically the intuition of the person giving the reading would be used, as well. They can be drawn one at a time or used in a multi card spread.
- Tarot: A deck of 78 cards with a Major Arcana (22) and Minor Arcana (56). Many people use tarot, and there are many different designs to choose from. The Rider-Waitte deck is the most popular, but I would suggest finding one that really speaks to you.
- Oracle: there are so many different types of oracle cards from Faerie Oracle, Moonology Oracle, to Angel Oracle. These cards can have as many as the creator wants in the deck, and can be used pretty much the same as tarot cards. I use a Moonology Oracle Card Deck for all of my card readings at the moment.
- Playing Cards: For broom closeted witches or people who aren’t able to purchase a set of tarot or oracle cards can actually use a deck of playing cards, instead. The deck of playing cards won’t have as many cards as a tarot deck usually has oh, and there are no cards to represent the Major Arcana but they can still be used for divination. Each of the different suits of playing cards corresponds to a suit of tarot cards.
Hearts = Cups
Spades = Swords
Diamonds = Pentacles
Clubs = Wands
✨ Tasseography ✨
When someone drinks a cup of tea or coffee, then the reader will turn their cup upside down, turn it a number of times on the saucer, then read the formations on the inside of the cup.
- Tea Leaves: Using loose tea leaves, preferably green, black, or white tea. The person having the reading will drink the brewed tea with the loose leaves in it. Once finished, you will ask your question, swirl the excess liquid and leaves around 3 times, then place the cup upside on the saucer for at least 1 minute. After this the tea leaf reader will interpret the images inside your cup.
- Coffee Grounds: Typically done in Turkey using a strong, velvet-like Turkish coffee. The person having the reading will be told to drink with intent, and once they are finished, they should place the cup upside on the sauce and spin it 3 times. Then let it sit for about 1 min. The coffee grounds reader will then interpret the images on the inside of the cup.
✨ Bibliomancy ✨
Using books to receive Divine guidance. Choose a book, ask your question, then flip to a random page with your eyes closed and read that page or a paragraph you point to for your answer.
- Sacred Bibliomancy: I’m not sure if this is actually what it’s called, but that’s how I’m distinguishing between the different types. In Sacred Bibliomancy, you would use a sacred book to you like the Bible, Quoran, The Tao te Ching, etc. You would use a book that is sacred to your spirituality.
- Secular Bibliomancy: With this one you would choose any book that calls out to you, ask your question, etc. This could be a book on your bookshelf, at the book store, library, etc. This one does not have to correspond with your spirituality, or any type of spirituality.
✨ Lithomancy ✨
The use of stones and crystals for divination. These would typically be chosen at random, and the reader would interpret what that some means for you and your question.
- Runes: Stones that are engraved or written on with the Nordic alphabet. I don’t know a ton about runes, but I want to learn more.
- Crystals: Natural stones that have energetic and magical properties to them. When you draw these, the magical property correlates directly to what you’re asking about. Let’s say if you drew a Rose Quartz when you were asking about if love is coming your way. This crystal would indicate that yes, love is coming, because Rose Quartz represents love.
I currently give readings using my intuitive abilities (claircognizance, clairvoyance) and Moonology Oracle Cards. Message me to request a reading! <3
Today I went to the Huntington and found this statue of Apollo. Somebody (not me!) had left flowers at his feet as an offering.
To quote my sister, “If that’s Apollo it’s DEFINITELY an offering.”

Zeus is complex
Zeus Alexikakos strikes fear into the hearts of ghosts and men who seek to harm you. He keeps away all things evil from you, young one.
Cretan Zeus is a young and youthful fertility god, similar to his son Dionysus, who brings forth the fertility of the earth
Zeus Meilichios is a giant chthonian serpent who is not to be dealt with lightly. He is protective and serpentine. Zeus Phuzios protects refugees who seek shelter in another place. Those who seek to harm them shall be struck down by the infamous lightning god.
Zeus Soter is a saviour. He will keep you from harm.
Zeus Xenios protects the sacred Xenia bond from being broken and punishes those who do.
These only touch upon the complexity and unique nature of Zeus. Afford him the same respect and complexity you give to youthful gods like Apollon, Hermes, or Dionysus.
Aphroditos, the Trans Aphrodite worshipped widely in Amathus and Athens.
This particular pose, where a feminine deity lifts up their skirt or dress to reveal a phallus, is called the Anasyrma or Anasyromenos and was widely regarded as an apotropaic gesture, averting evil influences and bringing forth good fortune.
"There's also a statue of Venus on Cyprus, that's bearded, shaped and dressed like a woman, with scepter and male genitals, and they conceive her as both male and female. Aristophanes calls her Aphroditus, and Laevius says: Worshiping, then, the nurturing god Venus, whether she is male or female, just as the Moon is a nurturing goddess. In his Atthis Philochorus, too, states that she is the Moon and that men sacrifice to her in women's dress, women in men's, because she is held to be both male and female."
-Macrobius, Saturnalia (C. 431 BCE)
This combination of masculinity and femininity in the same Deity and their assocition with the moon, both of which were considered to have fertilizing powers, was regarded as having an influence over the entire animal and vegetable creation.
They were often identified with Ermaphroditos (Hermaphroditus), the intersex child of Aphrodite and Hermes
