A young man pushes his way through the doors into the main stage room of the Honeybee Inn - a member of SOLDIER, based on his attire. Scanning the room, he clears his throat and approaches the first person who doesn’t seem preoccupied: Pari.
“You there. I am looking for information. Can you answer a few questions?”
(FF7 Remake verse)
Thank goodness she was decent at not letting her true identity slip.
Moonlighting as one of the Honeygirls at the Honeybee Inn wasn't the most glamorous of assignments but it worked for her. After all, she could feed intel back to her cell of Avalance.
Not Barrett's cell, of course. They had deemed his methods too radical. Although she did get a lot of flak from her seniors when she'd stated that she could completely understand why he chose his methods. But that was neither here nor there.
Not even dropping the tray of drinks in her hand, she elegantly turned to the SOLDIER.
"Oh! You want answers from little old me? Well, sir. I would be more than happy to give you them. I do strongly suggest we get out of the way of the main area. Gives the dancers the heebie jeebies."
She could tell he was putting on the pressure for her to get along with things for the investigation. After all, she seemed to be stalling for time.
Or at least that was what her aim was.
"Of course, SOLDIER. Let me just.."
She knocked firmly on the manager's door before she would usher the SOLDIER inside of the office.
"Hey, Bossman. We've got this enterprising young man looking for AVALANCHE operatives. Figured it would be better to talk to you, boss."
The aforementioned person waved her off and Pari would then wait outside.
"I'll just be outside.."
The SOLDIER steps into the room, making sure to cast a sideways glance towards Pari as he does so - if this is a trap, or some other tactic, he'll make sure this isn't the last she sees of him.
"So, let me explain the situation as it currently stands..."
...
After several minutes of discussion - likely including thinly veiled intimidation attempts - the SOLDIER returns, closing the door behind himself as he does so. Noticing that Pari doesn't seem to have gone anywhere, he turns to her, taking a short breath before speaking.
"I explained as much of the situation as I felt was necessary, and they were reasonably cooperative. I have transferred the relevant data to Shinra, where it will be examined for anything... suspect." He pauses for a moment, looking off to the side before continuing. "...You could have left. You could have found some way to waste my time, but you did nothing of the sort. You have not made things particularly difficult for me. If I ever require more information related to Sector 6, you may see me again."
