A young man pushes his way through the doors into the main stage room of the Honeybee Inn - a member of SOLDIER, based on his attire. Scanning the room, he clears his throat and approaches the first person who doesn’t seem preoccupied: Pari.
“You there. I am looking for information. Can you answer a few questions?”
(FF7 Remake verse)
Thank goodness she was decent at not letting her true identity slip.
Moonlighting as one of the Honeygirls at the Honeybee Inn wasn't the most glamorous of assignments but it worked for her. After all, she could feed intel back to her cell of Avalance.
Not Barrett's cell, of course. They had deemed his methods too radical. Although she did get a lot of flak from her seniors when she'd stated that she could completely understand why he chose his methods. But that was neither here nor there.
Not even dropping the tray of drinks in her hand, she elegantly turned to the SOLDIER.
"Oh! You want answers from little old me? Well, sir. I would be more than happy to give you them. I do strongly suggest we get out of the way of the main area. Gives the dancers the heebie jeebies."
He looks off to the side as Pari speaks, as if he's not interested - truthfully, he's almost amused, if anything. Based on their latest 'intel', he doesn't think she's telling the truth. Before responding, he looks to the floor, eyes closed.
"Yes, that would be foolish of them. Almost as foolish as opposing Shinra in the first place. But you know nothing about that, of course."
His last remark comes out sounding more like a jab than a matter-of-fact statement. Indeed, he doesn't trust Pari, or anyone else in this establishment - if his intel is accurate, then this whole building is crawling with undercover Avalanche operatives, so he can't afford to let his guard down. The SOLDIER looks up and makes eye contact with Pari, hoping to shake her up a little.
"...Despite this, we recently received a tip. We believe there is an Avalanche agent operating undercover within this very business. I am here because this represents a potential problem, and SOLDIERs such as myself are sent in to deal with such problems."

The SOLDIER keeps an eye Pari as she moves through the room, as one might eye an opponent they were expecting to strike. After hearing her response, he leans against the wall and slowly inhales, glancing to the side before speaking.
"I suppose that would be... counterproductive, hm? Regardless, there are still... rumors. Murmurs, in the alleyways. We find it unlikely that such activities would not be occurring in an area with as many people as Sector Six. Humans naturally seek out like-minded individuals, after all."
He takes a longer sip from the glass before his eyes target Pari once more. "So you have heard nothing... I suppose the word Avalanche means nothing to you, in that case."

Reblog this post if you want people to ping and/or tag you in the dash commentary they make about your muse!
Dash commentary is a GREAT way to get muses talking, but from what I've experienced, both by observing and how I personally feel, a lot of people are hesitant to comment on dash commentary when a URL isn't provided for fear that the commentary isn't about them—even if it might seem obvious. So let's try to alleviate that anxiety and let people know we WANT to be informed when our muse is being talked about!

"I do! We have a mini fridge in all the private show rooms, and we have a variety of drinks. Water is absolutely not a problem. It actually makes a pleasant change not dealing with someone who's completely off their box."
A telling statement from the Honeygirl, but a one she didn't mind sharing.
The glass with water and ice was provided, and so was her infamous hospitality.
"Okay. Ask away, SOLDIER. What is it you wanna know?"
"I can imagine."
He eyes the glass for a few seconds, gives it a light shake back and forth, then takes a small sip. It would be easy to assume he only accepted it out of courtesy, though he isn't coming off as a particularly polite type - he seems focused on business more than anything else.
After a slightly larger sip, he sets the glass down, eyeing the woman with his typical 'business' expression - seemingly serious, but difficult to pinpoint what thoughts are going on in there.
"I am here investigating an interesting piece of information we were recently given. Tell me, are you aware of any groups operating in Sector Six that harbor anti-Shinra sentiments?"
favorite song?
((Picked a very random person to ask - I'd have to say San Antonio Rose by the Texas Playboys, circa 1947?))

Crossing his arms, he glances towards the main stage. He’s not the type to show much emotion, but judging by his movements and tone of voice, he doesn’t seem particularly impressed with the atmosphere.
“Yes… That would be preferable. It is much too loud in here, not to mention crowded.”
The SOLDIER directs his attention back to the… waitress? He typically avoids places such as this, so he’s not sure what anyone’s role is. The outfit is the only reason he assumes she works here.
“I would hate to scare off any of your customers.” Ironically, his lack of expression betrays him by making this remark seem disingenuous - which it likely is, given his apparent attitude.
"Oh, pish posh. You wouldn't be scaring people off, but it does make for bad business if you leave it out in the open, no?"
The Honeygirl said with a knowing smile and a graceful spin, still holding onto the tray before she would gesture for the soldier to follow.
"If you please, SOLDIER. Follow me and we can use one of the side rooms here."
She'd lead him out of the hustle and bustle of the main showroom.
"Would you like a drink or does procedure not allow for that?"
“Yes, of course…”
He follows his host at a moderate distance, eyeing whoever happens to be closest with every step. Maybe he’s sizing them up, or maybe he’s trying to dissuade any would-be eavesdroppers - both seem just as likely.
Entering the smaller room, the SOLDIER steps towards the center, arms once again crossed over his chest. He doesn’t appear to be as on-edge in this quieter, less crowded space.
“I am not concerned about procedure, but… water would be acceptable, if you have some on-hand.”
