platonic or not, dream and george really just have that special sort of bond that you can pick out in a group of people just because they just have this ability to gravitate towards each other and pick up the little things they do because they are so aware of each other all the time. like when dream knew that george was in his bed just because he could tell that his voice sounded different. or how george picks up on little sounds or habits dream has when they are in a call together, and softly teases or mimics him. it is just so obvious that they find comfort and happiness in the other person. they laugh when they joke. they bicker in soft voices while all their friends sit and listen to them fondly talk back and forth. because that is just them. george is the person that dream wanted to blow up with him. dream is the person that george wants to move across the country for. george is the person that dream would marry if it was the only way for him to be with him in the same place. you can hear the smiles in their voices when they talk to each other. the subtle( or not subtle) way they get jealous when the other talks about or spends some time alone with another person. the way dream grabs at a chance to talk about george any chance he gets. the way george gets so teasing with dream and he says “shut up idiot” in that cheeky flustered voice. it’s pretty obvious, isn’t it?
