Coming Soon: PGSM Season 2 - Act 14 - Dreams in Silver & Black
A long silence, I know. But… things are moving again. Enjoy a sneak peek at the newest installment of my PGSM sequel fanfic:
Queen Serenity straightened. The sadness faded from her eyes; the steely resolve and dignity of her position replaced it.
“It is simple, my daughter. To bring unity to the moon, to create a kingdom prepared for the coming chaos… you must marry Prince Demande.”
Trapped inside her past self, Minako stiffened. A cool breeze caressed her brow, still sweaty from the interrupted sparring session.
She glanced at the princess; all color had drained from her face. The harp sword slipped from the princess’ hand and clattered to the cobblestone ground of the courtyard.
“Mother…” Princess Serenity gasped. “You cannot be serious!”
The queen folded her hands and sighed.
Serenity’s mouth opened and closed, unable to form words. Minako placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. The gesture seemed to give the princess the strength to speak at last.
“But… I do not love him! I refuse!”
Queen Serenity’s eyes narrowed.
“You will do your duty, daughter, as becomes the princess of the Silver Millennium.”
Princess Serenity stared at her mother for a long moment, her lips quivering with barely contained rage. Then she turned on the spot and ran from the courtyard.
Sailor Venus turned to the queen, and Minako wondered how her past self, so filled with duty, would react to this situation.
Queen Serenity raised a hand.
“Please, Venus, no lecture today.” She sighed. “I know I could have handled that better.”
“The princess’ love is her strength; it’s much stronger than even she knows,” she said. “Please… do not condemn her to a life without love.”
The queen seemed to consider this. Then she shook her head.
“There is no other choice,” she said. “Billions of lives depend on her.”
