made an alignment chart for lesbian fashion, feel free to tag yourself with what you usually wear
(terfs and non-lesbians dont touch)
Im chaotic femme
Oops! This has been touched by a bisexual "terf"
I generally align myself with rad fems and have even started to refer to myself as one, but one thing that I don't understand is why the term 'cis' is so controversial. I thought it was just a label for someone who identified as the gender that corresponded with their sex, but it seems that rad fems have taken it as an insult. Am I missing something?
Okay well first off you have to realize that gender is not something you can identify as or with; it is placed on you by society. My sex is female and society says that because I am female I must be placed in inferior caste of ‘woman’. I do not “identify” with gender (no one does). You can identify with stereotypes but that changes nothing. I thought it was chill in the beginning as well (saying you’re ‘cis’ so as to not other trans people or call yourself normal because it’s rude) but I grew out of it like every other radfem.
—Mod Neo
The term cis, as you said, means that you IDENTIFY with the gender that's being imposed. The fact that you're not trans doesn't mean that you are happy and comfortable with the imposition, especially in the case of women because gender is not independent to all the oppression that we live.
Im sorry why do you keep calling trans men female and trans wonen male like if you wanna be biologically correct do your thing but its offending??? Its rude??
We’re discussing facts not feelings here. Sorry that offends you.
—Mod Neo
Discussing facts doesn't give you the right to disrespect the identity of other people and I'm saying this as a fellow radical feminist.
Hi there, I stumbled across your blog and I just wanted to make it clear that trans people do not 'choose' to be any gender. Other people try to choose for us, and it's not our fault that sometimes they get it wrong. Feminism should be for all women, and that includes transwomen.
Gender is imposed on you by society. We’ve never said that people choose gender. People can choose to transition/be pressured into it but that is not the same. Trans women are male and feminism is for females so no, they don’t belong.
—Mod Neo
Please radfems, keep in mind that we should always respect the identity of everybody. Trans people do not choose this situation and transition is just a way for them to become happier and feel good about themselves and that's okay, we have no right to judge.
What we do know and say is that socialization based on gender (which is imposed) can affect people differently but certain things cannot change about that process even if you transition.
We know trans women already have their own space and movement.
Trans women suffer DISCRIMINATION because they are trans.
Women suffer OPRESSION because we are women (and that is defined by our genitals, aka vaginas).
Those are totally different problematics even if you can find some things in common (i.e prostitution).
Now that I'm talking about gender and how it conditions people I'll take a moment to say: THAT'S WHY WE NEED GENDER ABOLITION, so we can develop our personalities and identity in peace without tagging and naming every stereotype we create when we feel like we don't fit in a "gender box".
Getting back to the question: trans women have a different reality, they don't live the same as us, they will never understand what it's like to be a woman and you know what? That's okay! I just can't understand why people take it like an offensive thing, you support diversity but you can't accept the fact that a trans woman it's not the same as a woman? They're not less of a human for that, come on, and we have to stand so many people saying we have a hateful speech??? Really???
Women need their own space, is it so hard to understand? Trans women already have one, why can't we have our own? We live different things, women are being oppressed, we need our voices to be heard.

What do you think is the origin of male violence? Is it social or does it have a biological component also (hormones, genes etc)? If it is biological, what can men do about it?
That’s a hard question, and the answer from me is: I don’t know. However, I do highly HIGHLY doubt that biology makes males more violent. Seems like such a cop-out.
—Mod Neo
It's social, it's a consequence for the way man are raised. Also, our culture tells them how they should be and the way a "real man" behaves. It's the masculine socialization.
