We lost a great man today. From taking Brandy to the prom, to winning the NBA dunk contest as a teenager, to beating my Pacers on a bad ankle for a title, to beefing with Shaq, to 81 points, to taking down the Celtics with a broken finger, to snatching up 2 gold medals. My heart is broken. I hated Kobe when I was a kid because of him and Shaq denying my Pacers that championship. But over time he grew on me. Maybe because the dude was hella fun to watch! Over time his never quit attitude grew on me and I was sold as a fan. He worked nonstop to become a legend on the court and succeeded in doing the same off it. Be it in his writing or raising his children into incredible human beings, including His daughter Gianna, a young mamba who we also unfortunately lost today. September 9th 1999... Sega introduced to us out west this technological god! The Dreamcast. I begged my mom for one for the longest, but I already had a Genesis and a PS1 (and eventually a PS2) so she wasn’t for it. 04 rolled around and I still wanted one, but only now we couldn’t find one in Indiana. Something about it being discontinued in 01 or something... It wasn’t until last year before Christmas my sister found one on eBay and the rest was history. Thanks @precursororbs !!!
