I rewatched these episodes within 2 days and I can’t believe I didn’t put together a parallel before. I read somewhere (probably someone’s meta here on tumblr) how they both profess their love to each other the way the other person would want to receive it. To Coulson, with words. To May, with action. Even though this kiss is hella dramatic and totally not their style, details like these still makes my heart swell.
