Hi. I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I swear I'll post some pics from O!CC pretty soon.

I just wanted to rant a bit about something I was thinking about the other night. Warning, I might say things that may piss some people off, and this will be kinda wandery. If u wanna comment or yell at me, just make sure to read it in its entirety. Or not.

I feel like I dont fit in with either the old people, or the "millennial crowd", and heres why.

Maybe I'm one of those old crotchety dicks because, The way I was raised, we earned awards, not participation trophies. We sat at the table and ate our food, all of it, and didnt cry and throw tantrums until we got something better. If we did something wrong, we got punished, not rewarded. If we were offended by something we either said it to the offenders face, or kept it to our selves and took business somewhere else. *heres where people are gonna get mad at me* The "snowflake" mentality of entitlement is a real thing especially with the explosive force of social media. I mean, look at what 1 person complaining about a character butt in a video game did. (Looking at you Blizzard), and a guy got fired from disney for comments he made over a decade ago because the internet was mad. (No Gunn for starlord).

Oh, And way way way too many people use thier "anxiety" and other mental disorders as excuses to not be responsible adults, when others bear that insanely crushing burden of depression, anxiety, stress, still force themselves to function. I have great respect for these amazing folks. That was in no way intended to belittle mental disorders or the people who suffer from them but too many use them as a crutch. (Remember when folks was getting PTSD from tumblr? Fucking morons.) I know the intense urge to break down, and give up, that overwhelming desire to just quit, but I still get up and keep moving as do many of my freinds.

That brings me to the other side. I am a millennial. I work 7 days a week, 2 jobs, both well over min wage, with benefits and have a degree. Despite this, i drive a shitty car, and because of a series of worthless roommates, am currently residing at home with my parents, and even after a recent raise, would barely have enough to move back into a place of my own and pay the rent, associated utility bills, and keep up with my student loans (for a useless degree from a school that closed all its doors as soon as the feds started looking at them.)

I recently had to see a dentist. Even with insurance, it's still almost $1k out of pocket. I dont even wanna talk about the last time I went to a doctor.

Oh, also, nationally, to be considered middle class, its $70k-$100k. I am waaay below what is supposed the be the median for income according to that, and.. I'm doing way better than thousands of other people my age. As a generation, so many barely make above min wage, work 2, 3, jobs to make ends meet, while being fucked raw by federal education loans, increasing tax rates, and a fucking cheeto in a wig declaring trade wars on the rest of the world.

And yet in my feeds, almost daily its "millenials killing the housing market", "millennials killing the economy", etc etc etc. I even saw one recently trying to blame millennials for the big chain stores, ie Toys R Us, going out of business. Umm.. what?

I am angry, I am tired, I am apparently poor, and I am very confused, and I am one of the "well off".
