Legend says a violent community of monsters live trapped in Mt. Ebott. In the insanity of being in a cage of earth, obsessions have risen out. Hyperfixations that dictate their goals, the behavior, and eventually leads to them tearing others apart. It is etched in their souls. It is what separates them from goalless humanity.
In 20XX, a human fell into the mountain. One of six to do so.
Monsters only need 2 more souls to escape their cage and take the world back.
How will this human survive? And what of the monsters they meet?

This is an Ask Blog for my au, Underfell: Obsessions. It is a bit of a WIP, but I hope it'll be quite extensive as I go on.

Extra good news. The Undertale dialogue box maker I use has so kindly added automatic image dividing so I can finally add all the dialogue images I've made onto it.
This makes things. So, so much easier.
For context, everyone (except for the fiesties, Starlo, El Bailador, and Orion) had to be manually added to the text boxes via an art program. Because I didn't size the sprites right. This is only adding to my motivation to bring this back because I can answer asks much faster now LMAO.
Okay, that's it. I know it's been a while but there's only so many times I can say I miss my AU before I do something about it.
If I were to revive this ask blog, how would you guys prefer I do it?
Maintain the side stories you askers started (I'd have to reread a lot..)
Restart from scratch (new intros + fresh start overall. I prefer this.)

Note that this WON'T restart where Clover and Flowey are. The story would start with Clover finally meeting the Feisties. And I'll give up on making all the portraits the same because I'd never get those actually finished lol.
Mainly, it'll influence where the characters are now and how they'll act. A fresh start is preferred because I have some new characterization for them, and better intros I can make. But it's up to you guys.
I MISS THEM. Me and my boyfriend listened to Undertale Yellow: The musical while I was driving home, and I just. Kept thinking of them after. I'm tempted to redraw that one comic of Mooch trying to smother Starlo, because I'm so much better at comics now.

I saw this and instantly thought of my Starlo. And also realized that he has never met Clover (since I was so reluctant to continue the story before I updated portraits)
Anyways! In Starlo's defense! The only children he's been around in his adult life is Mooch and Kanako. Mooch would say the exact same thing to him. And he taught Kanako how to gamble. So.. he is not good around children.

Finally back after a little bit with a color study, with my most favorite Starlo. I think I'll reopen asks the second week of college after I get used to my schedule. We'll see though!

Marlet redesign! I was playing around with her character in my head. So, rambling below.
Her obsession with finding out what happened to Chujin kind of relates to a deeper desire she has to be like him. He's a father figure to her in this au, having brought her purpose (through giving her a job and goals when she couldn't find either on her own).
In the pacifist route though, she starts to see flaws in his logic. And she's starting to become her own person, learning to grieve and stuff like normal.. however, in the geno route, she starts leaning more heavily into his views. She starts thinking a bit more like him, and it ends up in a battle with her Zenith form, which I want to design to look similar to Chujin in silhouette and look. It could be really interesting..
Overall-
Pacifist focuses on relieving monsters of their obsessions and helping them heal from their individual traumas + give them healthier ways to cope with being trapped underground, while geno makes them succumb to their trauma.
