repurposing an old oc's name for the new/old oc i've been working on bc. recycling.
abt to rework yet another old oc into a new dude altogether like i did for kit and march.
also might rework kit a bit... like his powers or smth... kinda tempted to bring back one aspect of his first draft as a pjo oc n son of ares where he just constantly gave off this energy or whatever that like made people angry n ready to fight n stuff like ares does w percy in the first book. bc it was both terrible for him at times but also kinda funny because he genuinely had no idea WHY people always seemed so pissed off at him
reworked oc is gonna be a rework of rin bc his concept is so cool but idk what to do with him SO
adding onto this concerning kit.
technically i could just. reintegrate some of his version 1 backstory into his current version bc the greek gods are real in the dc universe. idk if i will but that is an option

obsessed with levi faust-laurent and their hidden tattoos
they have no tattoos that are visible all the time but they do have threeish tattoos on their body. Somewhere.
one is on their wrist but they hide it with their watch and bracelets so its almost never visible. (it's their daughter's name: emerson may faust)
they have tattoos on their knees that are seen very very rarely because they don't wear shorts a lot. (they're floral pieces with a little kinda spooky flair. not sure what exactly they look like)
then they have one that only their ex girlfriend (emerson's mom) has seen because she helped design it and they haven't really slept with anyone since her nor have they been mostly naked in front of anyone since her. but its three separate kiss marks on their inner thigh. they're her kiss marks nd they got this tattoo 100% illegally because they Lied convincingly enough to the shop they went to that the artist was like Okay Whatever (Bad) and did it even though they were only just barely 17.
assorted hel and jay thoughts:
it made me very emotional to consider in this little universe where helena and jason were close before he died, that she probably wasn't allowed to go to his funeral.
also have a vague image of helena lighting a votive candle for him because she lost him too. maybe during the years that he's gone she tries to do it on or around his birthday, just so maybe he knows he's missed.. or just to remember him. idk man its a very very vague thought that might not necessarily be in character
oh and adding on to that a bit. consider this w catholic (or semi / lapsed) jason. he tells her he tries to light one for his mom on her birthday when/if he can. sometimes maybe its a little late but he still does it because he loves her and misses her. him even telling helena about it would also be a big moment of trust yknow? because she at the very least understands the meaning of them and why its so important to him bc they're both catholic.
i think some of the things that would give jay away as red hood to helena is the way he talks and his smile (the one. rare time she sees an adult jason smile before figuring out who he is) and some of his behaviors. specifically, in like 3 different things i have jason walking along the edge of building like its a tightrope or balance beam or something. its not an altogether unique behavior but combined with other Things, it creates a picture that is eerily similar to the second robin.
also in my heart there's one nonserious scar that jason has that he got while hanging out with helena (and avoiding batman) and he is too embarrassed to admit that he got it when he ate shit while trying to show off. it's just a small thing on his chin and he wasnt even that hurt but he WAS embarrassed to fall like that in front of huntress
too lazy to post it on the jason blog but i have been thinking SO much about helena (sans version) and jason's relationship (PLATONIC I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH) over the years..
graywarren misadventures ft timbin and sometimes steph... many thoughts about them
pov ur a fourteen year old tim drake robin and ur older brother figure / sort of mentor / hero drags you along on "missions" or "patrol" sometimes but really they're not dates with his somewhat antagonistic not boyfriend that everyone (minus him) can tell is in love with him and everyone can tell that he is in fact in love with aforementioned not boyfriend (minus him)
tim and steph are the ones who are around the most for pre / early relationship graywarren so they get to see the annoying and sometimes cringeworthy ways they interact with each other. jay gets to see the very blatant rivals stage and the very very beginning of the friendship stage. and then all of them are witness (unfortunately) to the graywarren dating stage.
there was at least one occasion where a younger, pre relationship but on their way to being good friends, graywarren absconded with the batmobile and a still kind of new to this timbin. bruce was busy with something else and unavailable. kit was around bc him and dick were getting along pretty well at that point and? they're both So Normal that it was actually easier for them to get along as heroes vs civilians. tim was kind of just along for the ride (literally).
they 100% did end up fucking it up a bit and bringing it back to the cave like Do You Think He'll Notice? (there is a giant scratch down the side, several dents, and one of the windows is broken) to which the answer was a resounding No, I Think We're Good *lying*
kit ends up taking off, dick stays over at his apartment, and tim caught a ride home with them. none of them ever speak of it again and to this day if it somehow gets brought up they're not saying anything. kit will take off to avoid the conversation.
and the thing is? bruce knows that they did it. they know he knows. but you still arent getting any answers out of them.

in my heart it was on a valentine's day that aeron got lucan's name (in his handwriting!) tattooed and i just know that as soon as it was done and they're home with him again they are showing it off all proud because it means they're his and thats EVERYTHING to them.
i flip flop with where they got it but i think im settling on it being over their heart because contrary to how they act most of the time they are a bit of a sap

usually they don't do much because its also valentine's day and that took precedent once they were older. when they were younger they had a couple birthday parties but not much after their dad left. after they dad left sybil was too paranoid and overprotective to throw them a birthday party. she was terrified something would happen to them if she couldn't completely control the situation and any sort of party with a bunch of young children and their parents was one that was too unpredictable.

jaydove identity reveal goes like this:
- dove stays at jason’s apartment. this is a normal and regular occurrence at this point. - jason tells them he has to go to work when he decides to take off and patrol. - dove chills and sleeps. jay does his thing. - dove wakes up in the middle of the night, decides to make themself some french toast because they're hungry and that's something they actually know how to make. - jason, concussed/confused/exhausted, has forgotten that they're over that night, climbs through the window while still in full red hood gear. - dove thinks someone is breaking in. they grab the nearest thing that could feasibly be a weapon (spatula) and also accepts that this is It For Them Because That's The Fucking Red Hood. also questioning what the fuck jay is involved in. - they stand there looking at each other for a long time before dove asks why he's here. at the same time jay is like hi baby :) - jason does take his helmet off at this point before dove starts throwing shit at him because they are NOT about to go down without a fight. he has to answer So Many Questions. - dove makes sure he's okay and has someone who can and will check on him if needed. then they take off because they need some space to process everything. they think about staying but its A Lot and they can't handle it all at once.
