Lethe is the river of forgetfulness in Hades. The souls who drank from its waters lost all memory of their past lives. In Gnostic traditions, the Archons are entities that imprison the soul in the material world. That's how I interpret the figure waiting for the narrator in this song.

"Watching myself dissolve... I'm stuck inside this dream."

To me, it feels like the dissolution of the self, trapped inside a waking dream.

"Oh God, I am drowning."

It's like drowning in the erasure of your own identity, something as painful as it is liberating.

"Drink. Forget. Repeat."

Almost like a mantra promising to erase every trace of existential pain through the waters of oblivion.

And I have to say, my favorite part is the final three minutes. The song stretches out as though it's inviting you to surrender completely to dissolution.

From 4:47 onward, it unfolds into something pure and deeply contemplative, as if the dream itself were slowly unraveling in an almost hypnotic way.

And did you notice the piano notes? I absolutely loved that detail! If you're not listening carefully, you can almost miss them. They're so delicate they feel like fingertips brushing the keys, a mist drifting over the water... a quiet celebration of the end, without any fear of the void.

It was absolutely worth the wait for Lisa's return and for the band to revisit the sound that defined their early days.
