Watching intently Theo studied Omar while he read through the paper. He held his breath, mind racing through approximately 500 different outcomes. The decision to do what he’d done hadn’t been a quick one, but it had been an easy one, Since Omar had relayed all that was happening with his family, Theo had been thinking of and brainstorming ways to help. The last thing he wanted omar to think was that he looked at him like some sort of charity project. He’d done it because he cared deeply for and loved the other man. And the honest truth was he’d known for a while that he no longer just believed he loved Omar. Theo Sterling was well aware that he’d fallen in love with Omar Shanaa. When the day came that he would officially claim Omar, his family would become Theo’s. And that was a fact Theo took extremely seriously. “I know I didn’t have to. That ain’t the point baby. I wanted to. I wanted to. I did. I really did. Is it…Is it okay? Are you o,ay? I just didn’t- I know how much you worry baby. How guilty you feel. And how hard it is on all of you. I don’t like it. I couldn’t stand it. I care about you and them too much. I love you. It’s not a big deal. I just want things to be better. Happy. Is it…Okay?”

“How can it not be okay to get my parents the help and care that they need?” Omar asked, then something else struck him and he almost dropped the papers in surprise. It was a good surprise, that much was obvious. “You love me, cariño?”

Omar’s grin brought Theo’s own to spread further, and he reached forward to wrap his arms around his boyfriend. His lips found Omar’s temple then forehead then cheek and then lips, his grip tightening. When he dipped the churro, Theo leaned up to guide the treat into his mouth, all while Omar held onto it. “This is delicious. I mean fuck, this is good. Really good, baby. Thank you for this. I think they’re fuckin’ amazing. Who the fuck needs straight anyway? Neither of us are, our dessert shouldn’t be either.” Theo laughed at himself before taking another bite. “You’re the best cook in the place. I’m so fuckin’ lucky. This is the best surprise ever. It does huh? You could tell me more about that if you wanted. I’ve got a surprise for you too actually. I was gonna wait til the weekend but…Nah.” Theo leaned up a little, pulling two slips of folded paper from his back pocket before passing them to Omar. 

There were things that could be said about everything else, but then the paper was handed to him and he was obviously curious. That took his attention and he took the paper too, looking from Theo to the paper and then back again before unfolding the paper. His eyes were on the other man, even with the paper open as he asked, “What is this?” His eyebrows furrowed and he laughed a little bit because it seemed so silly that somehow two slips of paper felt so heavy because of how they’d been handed over. His eyes lowered to the paper and scanned, then re-scanned. “Wait.” He read them another time.”Theo... You didn’t have to-- did you really? Theo, baby... My parents...”

“Hey babe yourself. The first thig you should know is that I’m always hungry. The second is that I’m always hungry for anything you make. The third is that dessert is my favorite meal. And the fourth? It’s that it’s even better when you’re the dessert. I like this. It looks delicious, and it smells even better. You’re a regular pastry chef. I bet you could own one hell of a bakery you know. What prompted this baby?”

Grinning in response, Omar’s smile widened with each new numbered item Theo listed. He shook his head shyly at the final compliment and laughed, taking one of what he’d made and dipping it in the chocolate a little bit. “They’re churros, and I was trying to make them in straight lines, actually. My sister used to make them back home. No prompt, I just wanted to make something nice for us. Your smile looks even sweeter than the dessert, you know.”

For the life of me, I’ll never understand why everyone gets off on acting like I’m not also in the band with my brother. It’s chill though. Had myself a grand old time performing again. Thanks to those who did come out to support.

Seeing the smile on Omar’s face brought a flutter to Theo’s chest unlike any he’d felt before. The weight of Omar’s body against his was blissful, and in a perfect world he never would have let go. “Something for me, babe? You don’t have to do that, you know. I’ll love it, I won’t stop you. You’re just such a sweetheart. How’d I ever get so lucky?” Theo left another kiss on Omar’s forehead before guiding the man back, bringing them both down onto the couch. His arms never left his Submissive. Omar’s fingers running over his skin and through his hair felt incredible, and he tightened his grip on the man while tipping his head back, encouraging Omar to continue. “It’s good to hear you say that, baby. I like that. It’s special, just like you’re special. You think you can guess huh? Do you wanna share with the class then, smarty pants? Well just…More about them. More about you, through knowing more about them. You said they own a grocery store, right? But you mentioned something about you being their only employee. Everything that Theo did was somehow just magically perfect. It was no wonder the other man had instilled a genuine caring in Omar. “Funny, I think I’m the lucky one. I’ve never met anyone as open as you are, or as willing to put me first, to check up on me so well and include me. You’ve given me so much more than I think you know. You are an amazing person, kind and generous. You astound me and leave me speechless. So yes, I have something for you this weekend.” Relaxed on the couch, comfortably in Theo’s arms, Omar continued to smile as he looked at the other man with fondness in his eyes. “You’re special too. My baby. I think I can, yeah. Well, you want to know more about me. I know that for sure. And I know some of the things that I’ve said about my life and my family have been a little concerning. I come from a strictly traditional Muslim household, traditional to religion, not law. But the law too, really. As the oldest and as a man, I was to take over the family business. As a submissive, I was given more responsibilities. My dad’s health isn’t the best, he can’t always walk. He’s strict, a Dom, the patriarch. Stubborn. He tells us all what to do, or at least he used to. I rebelled and left, I was sleeping on couches at friend’s houses before coming to academy. PATRICK: I am. I promise. Am I completely fine with what happened? Of course not. But I can't be moping around forever. It's just how things went. And some things happen for reason. Most things do.

PATRICK: I don't know if you read the fine print in the announcing post there, but it was a couples affair.

PATRICK: I am taking advantage, Omar. I'm not sitting around in my room after class. I actually have a very busy schedule, and I'm thinking on taking on other things soon.

OMAR: Please do. I miss talking to you too. I can talk to people. If that causes a problem, the problem isn't me talking to people.

OMAR: I just worry about you. At least you can't get into anything here that could hurt you. You can't sneak drugs in so I don't have to worry about that.

OMAR: Partner, not couple. Could be platonic. And not the whole thing, just a few of the workshops were, and if you didn't have someone to bring he said he'd pair you up with someone so you'd have a partner.

I’m from Spain, yeah. My parents are still there, they run a small grocery market. I didn’t have a lot of free time before I got here, but I am interested in coming up with a few hobbies. Music is cool, I do like music. What do you like to bake? I’m good. Nothing went the way that I thought that it would, but I’m doing well.

I’m at about a 6 or a 7, my sister is the 10. I grew up in Spain and my family is Muslim. So most of what I know is either Muslim or Spanish. I won’t touch pork for religious reasons. They can stay pigs, it’s better that way.

“Hey, baby.” Theo smiled, stepping into the room and moving to stand in front of Omar. His arms wrapped slowly around the Submissive’s waist, lips coming to rest against his forehead. “I’ve been thinkin’. I wanna talk about somethin’, but if you’re not comfortable talkin’ about it, I want you to tell me, okay? I want to talk about your family a little more, Omar. Are you okay with that?”

In walked in the man that had done so much for him without being asked and Omar smiled immediately, watching him come closer. Those arms wrapped around him and he brought his hands up to his boyfriend’s chest to slide them up and around his shoulders. “I want to do something for you this weekend.” The kiss and the question came and he nodded, bringing one of his hands up to caress gentle fingertips along Theo’s jawline, then back into his hair. “I’m okay with that. I trust you, and I think I can guess why you want to. You can ask me anything. What do you want to know?”

The fresh scent when you pass an authentic bakery. Especially when they’re making something sweet.
