I understand this quote a little too well.  It’s what I’ve been feeling.  My personal life has me physically, emotionally, and mentally exhausted.  People who care about me, know why I’m spent.  I don’t have the energy to explain it to the people who don’t know.  Which is why I have abandoned a few of my social media accounts and announced that I won’t be back on them any time soon.  So yesterday, I had to log on to one of them because I forgot to get back to someone about something important.  My Inbox was full of pm’s, people asking what’s going on.  Cousins… “friends”… old classmates… I ignored all of the pm’s.  If you’re my cousin and we’ve been FB friends for years, and you don’t know what’s going on here in my life, then you have been paying zero attention.  I don’t have it in me to call you and update you on it.  You go back to your self absorbed life, and I’ll go back to mine.  End of story.

Suffice it to say, I have moved on in my mind.  They will see me when they see me, and that will be when *I* am emotionally and physically ready to reconnect.  Until then, I’m hanging with the people who have shown me the most love and support in the past six months.  You know who you are.  You are the ones I don’t have to EXPLAIN a thing to.
