Why are there three English language Tetris wikis on the internet?
Since 2006, a number of Tetris wikis have risen and fallen. Content has been forked multiple times, and edit histories can be traced across multiple different sites over the years, eventually culminating in the three that exist presently.
TetrisConcept.com Wiki (closed)
Formerly at: http://www.tetrisconcept.com/wiki
TetrisConcept.com was a website and forum created by a Tetris fan named caffeine in 2005. In 2006, at the suggestion of user colour_thief, a wiki was started on the website. The first mention of the wiki (archived thread) in the forums was on March 16, 2006.
On June 23, 2009, caffeine, the owner of the site, announced that due to personal reasons, the site would be shutting down (archived thread). The site ultimately shut down on June 26. He exported the wiki from the site to Wikia.
Shortly after, user Blink started a new website and forum called Hard Drop. Caffeine sent Blink a copy of the wiki data as well.
The tetrisconcept.com domain is still active, but no longer hosts a forum or wiki. The site does, however, host guides written by caffeine regarding Tetris fundamentals, including upstacking and downstacking.
TetrisConcept.net Wiki (closed)
Formerly at: http://www.tetrisconcept.net/wiki/Main_Page
Upon learning that tetrisconcept.com would be shutting down, user Muf and some other users created tetrisconcept.net, populating the forums and wiki with scraped data from the old site. The new site launched on June 29, 2009.
On January 28, 2015, Muf announced that the TC wiki would be closed in favour of redirecting to user myndzi's tetriswiki.com (which was later moved to tetris.wiki). The forum remains online, however.

Shortly after the announcement that TetrisConcept would be shutting down, user Blink created a new website harddrop.com, making the first forum post on June 24, 2009.
Not wanting to split the userbase between the new TetrisConcept.net site and Blink's new community Hard Drop, a proposal was made to merge the wiki and forums of the two sites (TC thread) (HD thread). Blink ultimately declined the idea, citing his intention to create a new separate thing that would grow on its own.
The communities both continued, with many users posting on both sites, but with some users noting a TGM bias on TC and multiplayer/modern bias on HD.
Hard Drop wiki continues to exist to this day.
Wikitris (merged into Tetris Wikia)
History on this wiki is unclear, but it appears to have been the Tetris wiki on Wikia prior to the TetrisConcept.com wiki being merged in. There does not appear to have been very much content on Wikitris prior to this.
The edit history for https://tetris.fandom.com/wiki/Wikitris?action=history implies that this page used to be the front page for Wikitris. The page was created by user Kirkburn on November 5, 2008. On July 6, 2009, user Angela (yes, same Angela as the co-founder of Wikia) made an edit commenting that this merged 2 wikis.
In the edit history for common pages such as https://tetris.fandom.com/wiki/Tetris?action=history, some artifacts of the merge can be seen. For example, on 18 July 2008, user Jujubo made an edit reverting some spam. The next edit was on 10 January 2009, in which user Xaq created a "New page" per the edit comment, with the content being more barebones than the previous page state. Most likely the edit by Xaq was the creation of the page on Wikitris, and the edit by Jujubo was a retroactively imported edit from the Tetrisconcept.com wiki.
(In the edit history for the same page on Hard Drop wiki https://harddrop.com/w/index.php?title=Tetris&action=history, the same edit by Jujubo on 18 July 2008 can be seen, but the edit by Xaq on 10 January 2009 cannot. This is because both wikis import from a common origin, the Tetrisconcept.com history, but the Tetris Wikia merges in history from Wikitris, whereas the Hard Drop wiki does not.)

(Formerly known as Wikia.)
On January 21, 2008, caffeine received an email from a Wikia founder, expressing interest in the TetrisConcept wiki and offering for it to be hosted at Wikia. General forum sentiment on tetrisconcept.com was wary about the idea of hosting on Wikia, citing concerns about ads and wanting to remain independent and have more control.
Nevertheless, when caffeine announced the shutdown of tetrisconcept.com shutdown on June 23, 2009, caffeine decided to port the wiki history over to Wikia.
Perhaps one of the first edits related to the move can be seen on June 24, in which user colour_thief moved the front page from "Main Page" to "Tetris Wiki". A follow-up edit on June 25 by user Tepples replaced the link to the TC forums with a link to the built-in Wikia forum. Further edits by user Nicholas on June 29 removed links to the Wikia forum. Then, additional edits by user Angela on July 6 reformatted the front page, merging in content from the existing but barebones Tetris Wikia named Wikitris.
The URL was originally tetrisconcept.wikia.com. It then changed to tetris.wikia.com. In 2016, Wikia rebranded to Fandom, thus changing the URL to tetris.fandom.com.
Tetris Fandom wiki continues to exist to this day.
Currently live at: https://tetris.wiki
Disliking the diverging state of wikis, there were discussions of creating a unified wiki. As of 2013, there were 3 Tetris-focused wikis on the Internet: Tetris Wikia, Hard Drop Wiki, and TetrisConcept Wiki.
In 2013, a thread on Hard Drop discussed the possibility of merging the TC.net and HD wikis. Shutting down the Wikia fork did not seem possible, as according to caffeine, he had already asked the Wikia people to close down the Tetris wiki site, but this was declined.
Because of lingering tension between the users who created the tetrisconcept.net website clone and the original owner of tetrisconcept.com, suggestions were floated that the unified wiki be hosted by myndzi, a neutral third party. But ultimately, Blink declined the idea of shutting down the HD wiki to merge to a new unified wiki. He said in the past he would have been more open to the idea, but given that HD is more active now, he did not feel it would be in HD's best interest.
Finally, in 2015, the tetrisconcept.net wiki was exported to create tetris.wiki. The tetrisconcept.net wiki was then updated to redirect to this new site.
Tetris.wiki continues to exist to this day.
The three active wikis presently are:
https://harddrop.com/wiki/Tetris_Wiki
https://tetris.wiki/Tetris.wiki
https://tetris.fandom.com/wiki/Tetris_Wiki
All three share a common edit history with the now inactive tetrisconcept.com wiki.
Hard Drop wiki: 1068 pages, 45,432 edits, 1593 users
Tetris.wiki: 521 pages, 25,708 edits, 885 users
Tetris Fandom wiki: 461 pages, 20,544 edits, 41,487,750 users (I assume this counts everyone in Fandom :P)
