It's so close to correct but the neckline is coming out a bit boxier than I would like so it could benefit from some adjustments. I know exactly how to fix it at least.

The worst thing is you have to actually make decisions about all of the proportions.

I'm also amazed at the gauge difference between the light green and dark green swatches. There the same needle size and both fingering with the dark green being slightly thinner yet the dark green gauge noticeably larger. I'm guessing it's the fiber difference, light green is a merino nylon blend and dark is %100 bfl. I don't think I've ever had such a clear difference from such similar yarns before and if anything I would have expected the dark green to be smaller. This is why we swatch.

Now the only thing I'm debating before I set off on drafting a sweater with this is if I want this to be the full pattern repeat or if I want to make the repeat longer so the largest stitches get even larger. Probably should just make another swatch to see as this isn't even the yarn I intend to use and while the gauge should be pretty much the same I probably should actually confirm that

Made another of my bismuth cowls to use up some scrap yarn. Working on finishing up the matching hat and getting the pattern finished. I should have a test ready by the end of this weekend and while I'm notoriously bad at meeting deadlines like that I'm posting about it to hopefully hold me accountable.

Little experiment. I wanted to see If I could make this drop stitch technique get larger and smaller. It has potential but the proportions are off and won't have much practical use unless I can tighten it up because there are pretty significant holes when any tension is on it.
