@adpacuk ・・・ THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT IS ISSUED BY THE AFRICAN DIASPORA PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE CIC ON BEHALF OF THE BRITISH AFRICAN/CARIBBEAN POPULATION We recognise that the 258 page Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities so-called “report” to be a litany of cherry picked statistics to suit the government’s propagated narrative. Our experience in the United Kingdom has shown us everything we need to know about the institutional racism that has lead to the actual ethnic disparities laid out in the 2017 Lammy Review. We have no confidence in the government or the Prime Minister’s decision to appoint Tony Sewell as the chair of the Commission for Race and Ethnic Disparities. We recognise that the appointment of Tony Sewell was in line with the government’s strategy to position so-called ethnic minorities to be the face of racist policy in order to cushion the impact of direct accusations. We only have to reveal the facts behind the hostile environment created by the Conservative government under Home Secretary Amber Rudd who put Conservative policy into practice by ordering the destruction of British African/Caribbean citizens naturalisation records. This was followed by the intra agency coordination of the immigration department, law enforcement, the DWP, the NHS and the local authority to establish a pernicious and hostile environment specifically aimed at those who were invited to rebuild Britain from the so-called African origin population colonies and their children. In light of 2020 being the 70th Anniversary of the Windrush generation arriving enmass, this symbolic insult was highly intentional and well coordinated to make the British African/Caribbean population abundantly aware of the government’s stance towards us. The genuine enquries held under previous governments that confirmed Britain to be institutionally racist such as the McPherson Report and Lammy Report describe the true state of ethnic disparity in Britain as did the enquiry into the Home Office under Amber Rudd who was ceremoniously forced to resign for untoward illegal activity.
