Once Leonesse was considered the cultured, most civilized kingdom in the world while Nord held the distinction of being uncouth and brute-like, but somewhere in both countries’ long histories, an odd devolution had taken place. It began when a new monarch ascended the throne and immediately began remaking things in his own image, which was decidedly old-fashioned, humorless, and puritanical.

Forbidding the practice of alchemy, he banished the resident mage and outlawed the use of most of the inventions past alchemists had devised. He also closed the theaters and also outlawed the use of any medical treatment originating from alchemical pursuits and moved the capitol from Charmeuset to Purdha.

He didn’t last long, was killed during the next war, in fact, but managed to set Leonesse culture back two hundred years before that happened.

Nord, in the meantime, welcome the banished mage, as well as his creations, and profited from the Leonite Vicomte’s decisions, and flourished.

Thus while Leonesse backslid into a barbarian’s paradise, Nord earned the reputation of being a refined country as full of artists and poets a though their men knew how to wield a sword and lance as well as they did a sculptor’s knife or writer’s quill.

That was the situation when the current reigning monarchs began their fateful correspondence which eventually ended in THE WAR OF THE WEDDED.

I made love to her on paper. And spilled ink like passion,

across the sheets I caressed her curves in every love letter.

I kissed up and down her thighs in short sentences and prose I tasted all her innocence,

without a spoken word.

I bit her lip and pulled her hair, in between the lines.

I made her arch her back and scream, it only took a pen..✒️🩶

It's so overwhelming 

to control all these feelings 

running through my heart,

my mind.

All those sad songs 

in my playlist 

with melancholy lyrics 

Some pop, some EDM, some classical 

or even with sped-up beats.

Resonance unfolds 

I can see my life 

in the relay of those songs.

My scream comes out 

as lyrics wrapped in tunes.

Listening to those songs, 

My heartbeat syncs with their beats.

The sadder the songs get

the better I feel.

I am a historical fantasy writer. I love the concept of knight & strong moral codes. While most of what you will see on this blog will center around historical research, and fantasy research, I will also write fanfiction for fandoms who's characters and stories fall under the "knight" umbrella (for me, that means any character or world bound by a code of honor to do good).

What is a true knight? A true knight is a knight who embodies the ideals and values of chivalry. Thus, my user name is True Lady Knights, as I believe Ladies-in-Waiting also value the same code of conduct as knights, and are often overlooked.
