She is so beautiful in this picture. I wish I had token this photo, even if it is just a still from many feet of film, it is wonderful.
The photo itself is mundane…She is such a contrast to the sterile, mechanical, rigid environment of space. She is soft, strong, and determined.
Sometimes I wonder if Ridley Scott, in this scene, was almost trying to make Ellen Ripley, like his homage to “ Birth of Venus”by Botticelli. If you try to look at the many levels of both works, there are many similarities.
But what do I know, I went to Art School, and still trying to put my degree in film to good use while on tumblr.
