Quirky Felted Toy Specimens by Hine Mizushima

Vancouver-based artist Hine Mizushima  has chosen the most unconventional figures to transform into stuffed animals. From squids, cicadas and sea slug, the hand-crafted felt toys are quirky and colorful interpretations of the childhood imagination.

A sculptor with the title of a stop-motion puppet animator, an illustrator, a needle felter, and a toy designer, Mizushima’s toys lean towards the creepy and crawly die as opposed to the orthodox fluffy and fuzzy cute teddy bears. You can find prints of the critters above in his Society6 and Etsy shop.
