New pinned post of crucial context and background information in order to understand what Jewish people are feeling and thinking right now, as a whole. Of course, we are not a monolith, and thoughts may vary etc, but here's the general consensus.
If you can not read, and comprehend each and every post, then get out.
I'm updating this list constantly, probably 1-2 times a day. As of May 15, it has been reorganized into a more paragraph/story form, as opposed to simple links. Nothing has been removed, only added.
I haven't tagged any of the authors, as you can clearly see them in the post. I would recommend following them, if you're not already.
Jewish history and culture
Can you pass this Jewish history and culture quiz? Can you understand why Jews claim indigenous status? If you can't you have no right partaking in this conversation. Sit down and listen.
Here's how antisemitism works. First, you have the horseshoe, which is exactly what all of you leftist are escaping from, which is helped by the way you all relate to us.
Then comes the sheer overwhelming numbers you hold over us (due, in full, to the expulsions, murders, Holocaust, burnings, etc INCLUDING the Arab world you put us through over the centuries. Scarily similar events are taking place now. When that happens, you gaslight us, you victim-blame us, as if we asked for it. And instead of listening to us, you start engaging in logical fallacies, forcing us to defend them, even when they make no sense. Because y'all like to focus more on appeals to anything -to the detriment of Palestinians- than in actual solutions.
All of which relies on a fundamental, purposeful misunderstanding of Jewish people, Jewish thought, and Jewish history. Incidentally, you would never ignore another minority's corrections like you do ours.
And you simply refuse to learn.
Antisemitism, part ll; "antizionism:"
To cover your antisemitism, you lie and say it's antizionism. And look, it must be just antizionism, because there are plenty of Jews in your movement. But guess what? The token "good Jews" in your "movement?" They are not good Jews. They know nothing of Judaism and Jewish thought etc which is fine! They do not need to! but that means they can not speak for Jews. (to say nothing of the fact that most of them are not even Jewish.)
But in your "advocacy" you deny Jewish history. You ignore every factor that led us here. You act like an expert, when you know almost nothing. You deliberately misconstrue and misunderstand how Israel (and ANY) state functions. And to really lock in about how its just antizionism, you make sure to protest Jewish people and locations (one example of thousands), in case we had any doubts. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that your "social movement" is built on lies, and created to fail. Yet you still protest, in a vicious cycle, one that ends in more death, including yours.
Part of that is due to your complete misconception of what Zionism is. It is not white supremacy. It is not antithetical to progressive values - but your antizionism is, just like Naziism, it is a core part of most Jewish peoples beliefs. Likewise, your complete and utter lack of understanding of actual legal terms.
If you actually cared, here is how to make sure you advocate for Palestinians (as you should!!), without hurting Jewish people. (We would love to do the same, but we're too busy fighting the antisemitism.) If you can answer these questions satisfactorily, than you've set yourself up well to not be antisemitic.
Bonus: see why your "criticism" of the Knesset and co are antisemitic!
There is an awful war, NOT genocide, going on right now. People are dying, it's sad and bad and awful. Here's why the war is 'necessary,' or at least not baseless. It is very clear who Hamas is fighting. Not just that, but there are lots of different players in this war. Each one should get their due criticism and anger. Especially when we know they're active in adding to the mayhem.
Here's what'll happen the day after, if you continue crying about Israel, and ignoring Hamas, and what happens when Palestine, as it is today, becomes an official state. (Regardless of the fact that simply recognizing them as a state is useless, when everyone needs to discuss borders, and other such bureaucratic stuff.)
So maybe, just maybe, take your misdirected anger at Israel and focus it on Hamas, Qatar, Iran and the other countries who are playing you like a fiddle, and then this can end.
